Woah…I didn’t even know the lead actress but I did some research. It seems the hate for her is mostly due to her fans and rumors of her made from fanwars. Anyways, ignore the toxic fans. I’m looking forward to this drama due to it being Cheng Xiao’s comeback and it having the same director from MJTY👍

I actually really like both characters. The 2nd ML is more darker and mysterious. While the ML has some flaws and is working to over come them. I like it when characters go through character development 👍

I don’t think so. It usually happens to up and coming actresses like WCR, Ren Min, and currently Yang Chaoyue and whenever a controversy is found in a drama. Esther Yu seems to be an established actress since the success of LBFAD. But who knows? It could happen.

That more looks like a fan war situation so I wouldn’t pay attention to that. But do you have more info on this drama? It looks interesting

I agree. I just believe Koreans aren’t that into fluffy dramas. They’re more into darker dramas. DWY is the first kdrama I liked in a while👍

That’s only part of it. Cnetz started to gang up on her after the airing of Fireworks of My Heart. This drama was very controversial and hated in China. After it, rumors started being spread about her like her calling a fan a witch, being rude to costars, etc. (you can take this as a grain of salt.) but I don’t believe these rumors because these rumors only started after the drama ended. Her agency also responded to these rumors and said none of these are true and that they would press charges if rumors like these are being spread.I honestly believe she will be well liked after her next projects are better received. I just think she’s needs to be careful in choosing her projects next time.

Anyways, cnetz always starts a hate train on a new actress every month. For example, Yang Chaoyue is currently hated. So I will believe WCR will move on from this.

I also think HL watchers need to treat this drama as a different drama with no connection to HL. The only thing similarities will be the names of some of the characters. Because First Frost and Hidden Love have different production teams. So it’s understandable why the casting choices will be different. I even believe if they cast a young Sang Zhi, it will probably be different to the one casted in HL.

They don’t mean it in a bad way. It’s just way before Hidden Love came out, a lot of people had a list actors that they believed to fit to play Sangyan. Even victor ma was criticized when he was first casted.The book has its own fan base. Plus, First Frost has a different production team compared to Hidden Love and it’s most likely he won’t get casted. So just treat it as a different drama.

I don’t mind SWL (even tho I prefer Zhang Linghe) and I agree with the comments of Zhang Yuxi. They should find an actress in her 20s.

Well it depends on preferences. I tried this drama and I wasn’t into it probably because I seen other kdramas with a similar plot.

I also don’t understand the hate towards her voice. Her cutesy voice is bearable but I like her regular voice more. (By the way I first saw her in Moonlight) MJTY is my first costume cdrama and I really like her character and the drama.

I disagree. WCR is a pretty good actress and can still improve even more. Also, cnetz hate on a new actress every month like they’re hating on Yang Chaoyue right now. So, her hate train will probably blow over once her upcoming projects are better received. 👍

Hey. I just wanted to know if this cdrama did well in china? Or did it only do well internationally?

This is not even final and the rumored cast always changes so I wouldn’t believe anything until they start filming. Also, The script is still being written. But I do agree if this would be the main leads, it won’t be as successful as HL. (With these leads) It could be as big as WIFTY or maybe Exclusive Fairlytale tho.

I watched the trailer and it looks very good. I don’t usually watch costume/historical dramas but I’m definitely watching this one 👍

This was one of my first cdramas. The 2nd half of the drama is draggy and I felt the ending was rushed but I really liked the drama. It’s a good watch for people who are starting to watch cdramas ♥️

I saw her in FOMH and I really liked her. Maybe she suits more modern dramas. Idk I haven’t watched her costume/historical dramas because those type of dramas are not my style. I hope to see her in a high school/ university drama because I see her having potential in modern dramas 👍

Sorry…I meant it’s a mix of both cnetz and YY fans. (1) cnetz- when they decided to threaten to boycott her and the diva rumors that they spread . (2) YY fans- This recent rumor of her blackmailing him.

Plus, actresses that have worked with him have received tons of hate but for WCR case it’s 10 times worse. It’s probably worse due to there being proof of them dating and their drama being poorly received.

I’m also not an anti of YY. FOMH was my first drama of him and I think he did okay. He wasn’t too bad like people claim. But it seems he isn’t receiving any backlash anymore while WCR is being scapegoated. It’s probably due to him having a bigger fan base in China and WCR being an easy target. Idk

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I googled her the other day and this rumor was one of the top results. I honestly think people spreading these rumors are from other actors/actresses fans because Deng Wei from LYF also had an attitude controversy but cnetz seemed to have gotten over it after a few days. So even if she was a Diva, she would have apologize for her behavior and cnetz would be over it by now but she seems to be getting hate from other actors fans.
