Hmmm…this is my first time hearing someone saying she is “acting like herself.” Which I don’t see. In MJTY, her character is very serious and nonchalant. And in her current drama, she may be bubbly in some moments, but her character is very shy and reserved for most of the drama. But you’re immune to your own opinion.

I find this discussion very interesting because she isn’t the only actress that uses a “baby” voice for her roles but she always gets the most criticism. And don’t worry her next role is more mature.

Wdym? Her acting is fine. Just because she does lots of cutesy roles doesn’t make her a bad actress. Anyways, you can just check out My Journey To You or her upcoming drama if you don’t like cutesy roles.

Tbh I think her character is being cutesy because her character is still currently a teenager. I heard there will be a time gap later so we’ll probably see her growth.

Anyways, I feel this drama has been given lots of love. On reels, it going super viral and getting lots of praise. (Probably the most viral Cdrama in the longest time) Also on here, it’s getting mostly positive comments. I remember with Ski into Love there were more harsh comments towards her.

Yeah. I’m used to it by now. I really liked her in LGIEF so I don’t have a problem with it. I’m just going to wait for more episodes to see how the story goes.

Tbh I haven’t seen that much hype. The only time I saw a viral edit was when it mentioned Sang Zhi and other HL characters. This goes to show HL was and still is very big.

Well, that other fandom should be more worried about other things than people preferring czy’s visuals. Because that other fandom’s drama is being heavily criticized in China rn. Fans of the novel are not happy with the adaptation.

And as a reader of both Manhuas, djx was always described as the more handsome one out of the two friends. While both characters are handsome but djx is described as the more popular friend not only due his brighter personality but also due to his visuals. So it’s not a big deal because the author intended for djx to be more handsome.

Well…even with those issues , TWOT is still quite successful. In China, it’s on the top 3 for multiple charts. It is also #1 on the iQIYI app for multiple countries and it has gone viral on social media. So, I would say it’s doing very well both domestically and internationally despite some of its flaws.

I read an article where cnetz praised both of the leads acting but have mixed opinions on the pacing and plot. IMO that’s fine because this has always been a problem in the c-ent. Cdramas are still not that great when it comes to script writing/building up a story. But it is a growing industry and the quality has improved in recent years.

No, it’s Youku that has a Netflix deal. But Netflix does put very popular Tencent dramas on Netflix while they are airing. For example, Amidst a Snowstorm of Love and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.

Yeah. I completely agree. I’m just saying I think people are overreacting a bit and should wait for more info and not baseless rumors. Because in my opinion, I think the styling has improved so much and the chemistry looks good. So I hope the drama turns out well.

I agree. Most of the things that people are commenting about are speculations/rumors. Like there was someone on here that said that they changed her character from strong and independent to clingy and cutesy and that is not true. I just saw a recent bts video for this drama and she was dressed very professionally and like a strong woman.

The only thing that is confirmed is the staffing crew was replaced and that’s because those staffs spoke out.( I also agree IQIYI was unprofessional for this) But I think people just need to relax and just wait for at least a trailer to come out first. And then they can judge.

Zls fans have accused Tencent or Esther’s team of sabotaging zls drama. The thing is that zls drama has been criticized from the start by cnetz. So no one sabotaged that drama other than the scriptwriters.

It is not likely that they are going to clash because this drama has completed filming for some time now and it has been promised for January. While zls barely finished filming Love’s Ambition 2 months ago. But I agree with your comment.

I think that’s just the very loud minority that’s been hating her. I also believe it had to do with her having a big hate train from 2023-2024. But she has overcome it since LGIEF’s success.

Anyways, she will prove haters wrong with her upcoming dramas (since they always criticize her cutesy roles). For her next upcoming dramas, it seems she is going for more mature roles.

I would also say the reason for her big popularity is that she knows how to choose her scripts. Like most of her dramas have done well (with two major hits).

Again. Investing in a drama doesn’t do much. It all depends on the plot/story grabbing the audiences attention. So, it’s a 50/50 gamble. Plus, she gets these roles because she’s talented and people like her. And this isn’t some gotcha moment you think it is.

I know you’re an obvious troll but what does that have to do with anything. Investing in a drama doesn’t do much. It could’ve flopped even with that investment.

Also, I don’t get why people like to downplay Esther’s popularity/success by always bringing up her family. There are a good amount of other actors and actresses in the c-ent that have a similar background as her but they don’t have the same success as her. So, this argument is flawed.
