Ummm…that’s not a very realistic setting. For friends to lovers trope, it usually always starts as a one sided love. Example, A River Runs Through It. So I just think this type of genre just isn’t for you.

The only thing I can think of is that IQIYI is waiting for Smile Code to air first and then this drama will air after it. They did the same thing with Zhang Miaoyi. WIFTY aired first and exploded with some popularity so iQIYI then aired Exclusive Fairytale.

It’s probably because on the iQIYI app it’s says it is slated for 2025. I would just take this as a grain of salt because iQIYI is only distributing the drama in selected regions. And it is more of a Tencent drama. Plus it is strongly rumored to air in October. Let’s just wait and see.

I think it’s either this drama or You Are My Lover Friend that’s going to air next. While Go Back Lover has been teased by Tencent for a while. You Are My Lover Friend is more likely to air first because it already has some promo like variety shows and photo shoots.

From what’s known, it’s only going to be on Disney+ in Japan. While it’s going to be available on Viki in most countries, which isn’t a problem because Viki is still a huge platform for kdramas. Dramas such as Lovely Runner and Twinkling Watermelon were very successful on Viki.

That’s because the drama’s writing is all over the place. Imo the acting is okay but if it had a somewhat decent script it would have had better ratings.

Well…this was a mess. I tend to enjoy dramas with common cliches/plots but the writing was all over the place for this drama. And idk what happened with the actors in this drama because I seen them in other dramas but it looks like they somehow forgot how to act for this drama.

You can also tell Netflix was trying to recreate the success they had with Elite with this drama but it fell flat. And if there’s really going to be a 2nd season, they need to hire better producers and screenwriters.

I think modern cdramas are still top tier even tho there are lots of episodes. It really depends on the storyline. For example, A River Runs Through It. ( I believe it had 36 episodes) I never skipped scenes and I was hooked every episode. I usually prefer modern cdramas to be at least 24-30 episodes long. And I believe modern cdramas have improved tremendously the past few years. Especially in acting and storytelling. So it really depends on the storyline and how well it’s executed.

I had to drop this because the plot was very messy. Plus both Daeun and Saena are very unlikeable. I have some sympathy for Daeun but she blackmails people. I also don’t like Saena because she literally hates Daeun for no real reason. It more has to do with Daeun being rich, which makes no sense.

I agree. Look at how they’re attacking the rumored actors especially the actress.

I’m confused why people are hating on the rumored actors involved in this drama. I mean nothing is confirmed. From what I’ve seen, it’s just rumors. Plus, the rumored cast changes every month.

I disagree. The genre just may not be your cup of tea and that’s fine.

Is it true their couple award was criticized by knetz? I honestly don’t see the big deal because it’s a fan voted award and My Demon is very popular.

Hmmm…I would say episodes 1-8 were really good and entertaining. While episodes 9-10 were pretty decent. I’m sure the pacing will start to pick up in the upcoming episodes.

If you want to watch a fun drama, you should definitely check it out. It’s very funny and cute plus there’s some mystery involved.

I haven’t seen people being toxic here. People just say “they disagree with their opinion”. I have seen MDL having lots of trolls lately tho. I also follow other dramas and I have seen people bomb rating some dramas. I think MDL should fix this issue.
