just started watching this and am on epi 13 and wondering the same thing.

I'm on 12 and after reading some of these reviews, I'm debating about how many epi to skip just so I can see what happens without having to drag through all of this.

I'm having trouble figuring out which is the SML - her ex boyfriend (the balless wonder) who kneels every time the shrew he married tells him to, or Dai Jing Jie. So far, I'm on epi 12 and Dai Jing Jie hasn't become selfish or psycotic, maybe a little stalkerish though, so who is the 2ML in your opinion. I'm really thinking about skipping about 30 epi just to see how it ends.

You're right, she didn't tell them, which is something I don't get in these shows. And I do believe the parents would have said just that, "get over it".

I try to remind myself that it's a whole different world in the East compared to the West where we are so used to seeing nudity or at least partial nudity and when a couple is in love doesn't matter whether they are married or not they actually kiss.

I have to comment on the ML's mother. So many of these shows, the mom is so completely unlikable you want to take an axe to them. This mom, she was the best. She fell in love with the FL early on and she never took a step wrong between them. She made me laugh when she found them in bed and when the ML was brought home from the hospital, thought she was going to have to knock dad upside the head, he was a bit clueless, it took him a minute to "get it". I loved the show, yes there were parts that just made me cringe or fast forward through, especially the second couple, the screeching young woman who apparently didn't have a functioning brain and the husband who was a door mat and let her get away with her nastiness. The third couple were sweet/ I think one of the most surprising parts was that the main couple actually had sex, not that we saw anything, but it was evident that they had more than platonic shy kisses. The ML was often shown in just a towel or just pants and the FL didn't die of embarrassment, it was sort of refreshing to see adults acting like adults.

Same here, I normally will watch anything he is in, but this one, even by the 2nd epi I don't think I can stomach much more. The two women FL & SFL are just to over the top for me, I just cringe at all their antics.

I've skipped so many epi just to get to the part where they are together, kind of a disappointment to see the two other couples take so much time away from them. This is just another one that the parents, the father in this case, makes me want to rage. He doesn't find out that his "son-in-law" cheated on her until epi 26, up till then he didn't care what her feelings were, he wanted this outstanding attorney to be his son-in-law, it wasn't because he wanted his daughter to be happy because he could have cared less about her happiness, he wanted the prestige of this fancy attorney. I was waiting for him to drag her down to the Bureau and force a marriage on her. Then he doesn't want her with the ML because of past family issues. The one benefit is that the daughter FL doesn't put up with his crap.

Love Designer is one of my favorites, especially when the 2 leads fall on the couch getting it on and he looks up to see Mom sitting on the other couch.

I thought the wife had beaten her, but it was the wrong wife, LOL. She really needed to figure out that being a married mans side piece wasnt healthy for her.

what epi does she get the beat down because i'm anxious to see that.

I'm skipped onto epi 20 because I just needed to skip all the rest, got the drift of what was happening early on, he was either going to cheat with the "sister" or his old girlfriend, these men just can't keep it in their pants, so I see the one smack in the amusement park, please tell me there are more smackdowns for this crazy lady.

I started this this morning and decided to skip over all the drama and go to epi 20 just to see if Dad grows a pair and walks away and if Mom gives Shi Yue a good smack, but could tell from when Shi Yue showed up that this woman definitely had some loose screws. I would have given her more than one smack.

just started it and am now reading all the reviews because just by the first few epi when Shi Yue comes to live with them I get the drift that she's a true bunny boiler, she will go off the deep end and really fast. I'm picking up on epi 20, only because I want to see if Dad gets his brains out of his pants and walks away from crazy town before it's too late. In this epi she's basically kidnapped their little girl, I hope Mom goes to town on Shi Yue when they find the little girl.

I'm watching it for the first time just now and I can't wait for a 2nd season.

in the context of what she has been through from early childhood, it's pretty normal that she would be weak.

some times its just the normal character that do this weird laugh, like it's a normal thing in the Asian language, I just find it odd.

Oh thank you. That was one of my comments in my post. Her dinner would have ended up in her lap had she been talking about my daughter that way, she would have been escorted from my house.

Have watched this multiple times so I guess I enjoy it, but oh geez, if I have to hear this girl sigh one more time I might just stab myself in my ears. I love Zhang Han, which is probably why I've watched it multiple times. I am of the opinion that if this is written by men, they really have no respect for women at all. They allow her to be consistently made to feel stupid, by her aunt, by her parents, by her friends. I couldn't believe her parents didn't stand up for her against the aunt at the family dinner. I love the 2ML, I like his support of her through the whole show. As much as I tell myself it's a whole other world in the East compared to the West and how women are viewed, how marriage is viewed, this just makes me want to shake a whole lot of people.
