Have watched this multiple times so I guess I enjoy it, but oh geez, if I have to hear this girl sigh one more time I might just stab myself in my ears. I love Zhang Han, which is probably why I've watched it multiple times. I am of the opinion that if this is written by men, they really have no respect for women at all. They allow her to be consistently made to feel stupid, by her aunt, by her parents, by her friends. I couldn't believe her parents didn't stand up for her against the aunt at the family dinner. I love the 2ML, I like his support of her through the whole show. As much as I tell myself it's a whole other world in the East compared to the West and how women are viewed, how marriage is viewed, this just makes me want to shake a whole lot of people.

I keep seeing advertisement (videos, etc) for King Whales Guard, but can't find it anywhere. Has it come out yet?

Read Alec's review and it was spot on. I was really waiting for someone to get what was coming to them, the father being the first and in the end, he was just this kindly old man recovering from a stroke and everyone loved him now. The only bad guy that got what was coming to him was a minor character. I enjoyed it, flipped to the end about half way through, then went back and watched the whole thing. It was said that a lot of film could have been left on the editing floor and I agree with that, but I watched it all the way through and was glad I did.

This was surprisingly good after you got through the first 7-9 epi. It took a while to figure out who the real bad guy was. I loved Yangsong, this is probably the first time a "chauffeur" was smart and was treated like the smart guy by his boss. Like someone else said, once she started trusting the ML the show flowed together and was so interesting.

I stopped too, just couldn't take it any more, but decided to check out the last 2 epi...it made me go back and watch everything. It was really good. I hope you'll give it another shot.

Boy, I have to comment on both rivals, or wanna be rivals. Both the SFL and SML as much as I wanted to like the SML, he knew Cheng Xiao "liked" Nan Tang and he still played the "poor me" card to Nan Tang...I was that poor boy from the poor family, you had to buy me my very first pair of new tennis shoes, knowing that that would play on Nan Tangs heart, while the SFL...sucked up to Nan Tang's mother every chance her sneaky little heart could. She knew he didn't have any feelings for her except "brotherly" but she was nothing if not determined to force it. I just want to reach out and smack both of them. The only benefit was that Mom although she probably would have liked that relationship to flower, she wasn't forcing it. I'm waiting for the relationship between the two leads, already on 26 and so far it's just heartbreak for both of them.

I often have to wonder what these writers friends are actually like. I've never seen such a group of un-fit friends as I've watched in c-dramas. They are either so child like I have to wonder what their IQ is or they are so bossy I want to smack them. This one, is just cringy, so cringy I have to ff through her scenes. During the accident she missed a passenger, then expected her friend the pilot to cover up for her and cried like a baby and threw a tantrum when she realized that wasn't going to happen.

I was actually cheering when she told her mother that she left their town just to get away from her.

I don't understand why the writers of these rom/coms or even any of the dramas give the FL the type of friends they do. The two friends of the FL are toxic. They don't listen to her, they have made a decision on how she will live her life and even go so far as posting things she doesn't want them to online. I would be kicking some ass and they wouldn't be my friends any longer. Another complaint is Chu Nun...he's a grown man, grow some balls. I definitely wouldn't survive living in that culture. So what if Mom and Dad don't like the woman you love, you're going to marry someone you don't love just because they approve and tell them to butt out. The second date and Mom and Dad have them married already.

happy or sad ending...I just don't know if I can watch a sad ending of these two.

he was just completely creepy, from his face to his rotten teeth. And you're so right about him not being able to fight, when he went up against Do Bae Man, it was just so funny because he was taken down in 2 sec.

he also went through a load of abuse by his mother as a teen. I mean how many of us have been thrown into a pit with a live hand grenade. That could cause a huge problem.

thank you for saying that. I wanted to keep hating him after the way he acted in the beginning, but then started feeling so sorry for him and asking myself "what is wrong with you? He's a scum." But like you said, once in the military he was that poor beaten puppy that you just had to feel sorry for.

Epi 11, I've put off watching this for months. Now I'm glad I started it. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that so much abuse has gone on in this series, since in to many of the kdramas I've watched the person that has been abused, bullied, etc just lets the abuser go with no retribution. I hope for some "friendly fire" against one of the commanders. I'm hoping some of them get is what is due them by the end of the series. I'm not adverse to spoilers if someone wants to grant my wish and let me know that one or more of these creepy human beings finally get theirs.

can someone tell me how long it takes for the dimwit (FL) to figure out that the ML had a crush on her in college. She continues to try to fix him up with someone else and never seems to get it, at least in the first part of epi 7.
