A season 2 would've solved all the plot holes 🫠
Another timeline is the only way to fix it. Khun Yai (his era) don't know anything so he's not really helpful 😂
We need Commander Yai to solve the plot holes 😔 but his plotline is too expensive 😭

Title Love for Love's Sake Spoiler
Great kdrama but I wanted to know more, the ending was bittersweet to me...Like I wanted to know who was the mysterious…
Sunbae is either a god/angel who gave Myung Ha a 2nd chance after he regretted k*ll*ng himself.
Myung Ha didn't traveled back in time, it is more like a transmigration where he had a 2nd chance to redo all his regrets.
Myung Ha is already dead in the real world.
The "main characters" are yes, mixed up with his past. Nothing in the book that says they were a part of his real life. They were created for Myung Ha. But there's also a twist in Myung Ha's existence in the game/novel that makes him an impact to the other "characters".

Transported into a fictional online game = sunbae said he was creating a game & transported Myung Ha in it but in actuality, it wasn't a game but a second chance in life to redo all his past mistakes/regrets and change his life.

There's a plot twist in the end. You need to watch the entire thing. It's a really good drama.

Some people do really find it boring until EP3. If you get passed that (which is still very important), you might like it moving forward.

Too bad they only covered half of the novel but since you looked at the comments, pretty sure you know the reason now.

Hello I already watched it the ending is a bit confused why there's another khun yai with a moustache with there…
That's Commander Yai. The first Yai who loved Jom.

S2 depends if the production has the ability to make it. It requires bigger funding than S1.

Twice. From Khun Yai (1927) to Commander Yai (1500s?) then back to the present to Yai Kanthorn (2023).

What I meant is he has destiny to fulfill. Like in the series, he was meant to save Khun Yai from a marriage and let him fulfill his dream (by going to France) before disappearing. In the novel, he was destined to be a "deity" to save the entirety of Kingdom, Commander Yai serves before he leave. Once all those destiny were fulfilled, Yai Kanthorn (2023), would be able to remember all the memories promised by Jom and Commander Yai to pass on the next generation.

Hi! I can answer your questions but this is gonna be a huge spoiler if they ever give us a S2. So it's up to you…
I ranted about it during airing so I may have missed those people who actually the same idea as us. (Thanks for telling me, I was blank staring on the "@deleted". I was confused haha!)

I cannot answer in behalf of all SEA countries but way back then, those courses may not be available in their country and fyi, education is only for the rich during that era. (So yeah, think about it, it's totally impossible to bring Jom especially when he is in the lowest class.) And Khun Yai didn't want to let his family down as the first son.

I understand where you are coming from. I love your realistic take about the situation rather than the argument of others before (I'm sorry you had to experience that), I'm actually more convinced.

It's because the series only covered half of the novel that it was unable to completely express what it is intended. We are in reverse. What I mean is we start with Commander Yai before Khun Yai but since we (and Jom) met Khun Yai first, it felt like his love for Jom can possibly be spur of a moment or an ordinary promise in his youth that can change. But it wasn't. Even Khun Yai at some point don't understand how much he loves Jom, he just love him the way he does. And he did everything he can just so he can keep Jom close to him, not only with his romantic intention but with his way to protect Jom.

Khun Yai was completely head over heels Jom. That when Jom just disappeared after their first date, he remained loyal. In the special chapter, after he got back from France, he saw Jom and disappeared (at this time Jom already met Commander Yai, crying when he saw Khun Yai for a moment). In the hidden chapter, the dance scene appeared and Khun Yai didn't danced with anyone. Anyone who tries to steal Yai's heart always feels like they have invisible enemy. Even his sister could tell that he is waiting for someone but Khun Yai never told anyone who it is. No one knew about their relationship at all. He only kept waiting until his last breath.

More thing that I can tell you is that among the "Yai", I have to admit that Commander Yai is my favorite as he is the beginning of all these curse/fate. Khun Yai was the most pitiful among the Yai because he was the only oblivious Yai who waited for Jom until the end of his life. While Kanthorn could be the one that also had a hard time waiting for someone he can't remember until those memories that wasn't from his era came to him (This was the time when Jom already completed his fate thus, Kanthorn remembering all of his reincarnation).

I hope you get to read the novel, if you cried watching the series (even if you did not), you will bawl for the novel. Commander Yai's love for Jom was the best and the saddest thing I have read.

Hi! I can answer your questions but this is gonna be a huge spoiler if they ever give us a S2. So it's up to you…
This is such a good question. I kinda had a rant about the France part too while airing. But in the novel, before they even met, Khun Yai was already set to go to France to continue his studies so they didn’t really have much time together, by that time he asked Jom to wait for him in which Jom agreed and understood (but before Khun Yai could leave, Jom already disappeared from his era) therefore, it was acceptable. However, in the drama, France was his dream in which his dad was against with. So I get that when the opportunity was given, he’d take it but I also felt like it wasn’t solid enough because like you said, they fought so hard for this relationship and he suddenly wanted to leave. He also said in an episode that “Jom is my new dream” so it felt so wrong (to me). He could’ve at least asked Jom if he can take him with him although, it might be possible (Just my thoughts really). But no, he was just a happy child that he can finally go to France. I feel your frustration.

I swear before I finished reading your whole paragraph I was already thinking about the lying on the lap part (I am getting the chills because you get it). You are the only person I’ve heard rant about this. I tried talking to people about this one but their explanation is just not enough for me because the ‘lying on the lap’ scene existed and that hurt me so bad. However, you’ve also emphasized that it is because Khun Yai was young, which was also the explanation of everyone else (I can’t accept it, Khun Yai novel was mature).

Conclusion: Yes, in the novel he was set for France to finish Law School but it was intended even before he met Jom.
