And that's totally okay. Sometimes a show just doesn't reach us, even if the show itself is a gem.
I guess))) there’s aren’t many high-value production wuxia and historical genre dramas, so I still try to watch all of them, because it’s a feast for the senses ✨
Logically this seems perfect: acting, production, costumes, ost. Also seems like everyone is loving it, but I just can’t get into it… Which is very sad, because I love this genre and the tropes in the story seem nice. Tried like 3-4 times to watch it, but it just doesn’t grip my attention and emotion. Will probably try again later in a different mood)))
I’m loving this so much! The male actors are amazing, main female character is cute, but strong and I enjoy the darker tones of this historical/wuxia drama. Haven’t enjoyed anything this much since Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Ofc the story is a tiny bit draggy, but all the other elements make up for it. Definitely will be on my favorite rewatch list. ☺️
Why is the rating so low? … It’s the most wonderful and cinematic drama from the past couple years. can already feel, that it will be one of my favorites to rewatch. so unfair about the rating though, don’t understand why it’s not much higher.
I absolutely love the pace of this drama, makes everything feel “closer” and more real, but at the same time has a sentimental vibe of older movies. This drama makes me long for it and miss it, while watching it. Absolute masterpiece so far…. needs a much higher rating.
I loved it. The pace is slow and realistic, the actors are wonderful and despite being dark it left a very pleasant taste afterwords ❤️ not for everyone, but 10/10 for me
Wish I could give it an 11, it’s sooo good. Honestly, it almost never happens, but I like this even more than the novel. The actors are so wonderful and the visual metaphors are so beautifully shot. Visually and aesthetically, this is my favorite cdrama set in modern-time so far.
wow, the comment section fried this drama alive 😅 I actually thought, it was a very light and pleasant watch. The atmosphere is warm and cute, the visuals are very well done, especially the food making process… so yammm ☺️ maybe it’s not for everyone, but I liked it
I’m enjoying this a lot! The bromance is great, story is very entertaining. I understand that some people are upset that there is romance, but it’s very-very minimal so far and it helped them pass censorship. So for me it’s 10/10 so far. And it’s nice that it’s releasing so fast ^_^
