I wonder if the opposite could be true? On close up, you can see this "thingy" underneath the bun, that gives it shape. If this really was a simple hairstyle, they would have found a way to hide that. The fact, that they haven't even tried makes me wonder if maybe they will add the hair ornament on set/in costumes. Maybe it's too heavy, maybe they want to stop new outfits to leak?

It's more likely, that they have a backup actor, if their first choice declines - if that 🍉 is true. In that case, Liu Yan's role in the drama script will be smaller, no matter the actor, that plays him.

Filming will start around the 20th of November, booting ceremony is rumored to be early December. So, no, this hasn't even started filming yet. It will likely come out in 2025.
So far I like it. The script isn't outstanding, but the acting and chemistry is solid. They already established a couple of intriguing tension arcs, that are keeping me engaged. I'm looking forward to more episodes. I can only recommend giving this drama a try.
