What do I know director knows best. But from my POV audience is triggered on purpose towards an emotional high, but when they break it apart like this it loses its connect, the impact isn't there as it would have been if they let the whole scene play out without any interruption.

What the hell happened to the sword giving scene, did they cut it out? If the intention is to show it as a flashback moment later it might have lost its emotional impact. I am so frustrated with the editing, from the kiss back to the camp was abrupt, back and forth revelation between crown prince heir and marquis was choppy didn't stick the landing for such a critical moment, not to mention the end scene with changyu it was just thrown in there randomly. Drama is good, on the verge of excellence but you cannot have editing like this.

I wont I am a coward, that is why FL is a bad ass, she is steadfast, she is reckless within limits not stupid, and her courage/attitude is inspirational. BTW in how many shows have we seen the men break the rules to protect their woman/family, and how many times the audience/women call them out on it, in fact it is considered masculine, attractive, taking charge. If we are going to charge her, the bigger offense is committed by the Marquis, seriously dude in the middle of high stakes war he is playing hide and seek with his identity. He has put his life/her life in peril and all the men who serve under him he has betrayed them with poor leadership. But the real deal is we wont question the ML because his mistakes are seen as necessary plot device to create excitement, and the FL misjudgments are seen as character flaws.

That wouldn't necessarily work in a visual medium, you already have one crazy dark lover, you can't have 2, that is too much toxicity for the audience to bear.

Can we give full marks for fight scene between the FL and the big bad. It wasn't just a simple fight, it showcases her brains by how she studies her enemy, and makes a plan to take him down that does not rely on fluke. She cannot beat him with brute force, so she charges with speed and skill first, make him off balance, then takes him down with power. Brilliant choreography of David versus Goliath fight without making the villain look silly, but powering up the FL within the bounds of her capabilities.

good point, probably because majority audience is women and their main attraction is to see man save girl and man kick ass, she can't really eclipse him in bravery otherwise he is mocked for being a wuss. but I am genuinely surprised how many kick ass moments they gave her character (for non novel readers this is refreshing), so far they have not over diluted her essence, this is a FL show with strong ML support.

They themselves have an issue with being/looking SEA, they want to be anyone else they feel has superior genes. This drama, these characters/actors deserves a fully developed story that completed their journey. Chemistry was FIREEEEEEEE BEST in a BL I have ever seen. Butttttt the end was incomplete how did they overcome the formidable mafia like father, who was ready to kill them.

In Korea basically Asia parents are gods, respect, obedience comes first even before love, even if Parents are abusive Asian culture does not give much rights for the child to abandon their parents. Also this is Korea, Taekwondo is their national sport, grand master status regardless of character demands respect. Also he is keeping connection with his love through his father, perhaps foolishly believing if he made his master a better man by being a surrogate son he might become a nicer father to DoHoe, which ultimately might heal the hurt DoHoe's father caused him.
