I was reading how this drama has some bitter ending and was almost going to not watch it but I suddenly remembered…
I don't mind sad endings if they make sense, but it just didn't make sense to me this time. It could have been completely avoidable and with as strong the ML was, it was just so unrealistic and didn't 'fit'. I would have been content ending it without watching the last episode (end of 39-done). Besides the last episode... this is worth watching. Enjoy!
For those that want a happy ending, just don't watch the last episode and then look through the photos above. I would have been satisfied stopping at the end of 39.

Honestly, if I rewatch, I'm just going to skip the entire last episode. I would've been glad if I'd stopped as soon as ep 39 ended. 40 was all over the place and not even worth watching imo. The Emperor's death wasn't worth all of that.

Okay, I really wanted to enjoy this like so much, especially with such high ratings, but I'm on ep 12 right now…
How is she gonna be like HOW DARE YOU HAVE AN EX-FIANCE? And 'how dare you one-sidedly end a relationship?!' Um, excuse me what? helllooo, why are we in the past in the first place? YOUR HUSBAND, who you also just one-sidedly pushed out of your life that you loved for 17 years (in the past he does not know what he's done in the future so...)! (He bad we know, but the level of hypocrisy and stupidness of this is too high). And you're mad bc the ML has an EX-fiance he never loved, never married (even in the previous life) and doesn't want? So we supposed to turn our brains off and believe she's completely cancelling alllll the dude has done for her over something SO STUPID. *facepalm*
How does this have such high ratings?? Each ep feels like it's 10 hours long and I'm dragggging through all of the random tropes they're slapping at us left and right, shoving them down our throats. Everything finally started feeling like it was falling into place, and now we have an ex out of nowhere that's going to enter and mess things up?? I can't. This is frustrating and a solid 6/10 so far LOL.
The chemistry seems lacking as well. ML and FL have only had 2 *sweet scenes (1-was a 5 second cuddle scene) together so far, and I've seen PMY kiss and she CAN KISS (Secretary Kim- HELLO), and that ONE kiss so far just wasn't it. Way too much story sucked up by the 2ml. It's like 90% 2ml, 10% ml.
I am IN LOVE with PMY as an actress. I've watched all her shows, but I dislike her so far in this one. I was expecting a bada$$ revenge queen, but she just gives up/in at the drop of a hat😒
It picked back up around ep 14 and had some more sweet moments before having a cute ending, but my gosh the silly push of like 10 new characters in 2 eps and everyone wants to kill her all at once was wild. Bumped up to a 7.5/10.
