No one is really watching it for the mystery part, tho. It's good that something else is going on alongside their…
I really enjoy seeing other people's POVs, but my heart was exploding when he was all worrying over her and in a panic. Trying to be a 'badass idgaf about her' when you could tell he was scared af on the inside and the way he instantly snapped and was like I DON'T TRUST THIS PHONE CALL and the way he worried over her. The relief when he saw she was fine and the call might have really been fake. The way he reacted when he found out someone DID put hands on his wifey. My goodness, I felt more romance/passion in the first couple eps than in most whole romance/dramas I've watch.
There was no twist in the story and most guessed it. But the main leads chemistry was good. I think the social…
If you prefer the mystery/thriller over the romance then the next ep and the final eps you'd probably like more than these first 9.
I can't comment as someone who watched as the mystery/plot twists unfolded firsthand because I read the novel first (and that it was heavily romance/drama-focused) :/ So, I was just waiting for it in anticipation to all unravel, which is an entirely different experience lol
I do feel like a lot was missed out though because they had many more spicy/flirty phone conversations that had a more romance build up in the novel and not a 0-100 jump like in the show. But if you think about it, yeah they rarely saw each other in those 3 years like ever (they delved more about that in the novel). But it was her being kidnapped that awoken something in him he'd been holding deeeep down for many years that came all rushing out at once. When something like life or death happens to the person you love, your attitude will change really dramatically. There was nothing that had happened TO them within those years, so they were just dormant roommates who hardly saw each other and literally never talked, but were both secretly loving/wanting each other. But once he realized 'oh shit, I might actually lose her,' then it just explodes out of him all at once. Without thinking of the novel, I felt that was portrayed well. So, for the romance part, I think that was their focus in the show. That once he realized he couldn't live without her, that was his breaking point.
Honestly, before I looked up their irl ages, I thought BSE was in his early/mid 30s and the guy playing the dad in his late 50s/early 60s. I didn't think it was that obvious they're close in age...
Yes... and no. lol~if you want 'more' spoilers or to elaborate lmk :)
I honestly don't even remember anything about him in the novel. I might have glossed over him completely😂 I just know in the show he knows the real BSE (but he doesn't remember 'who' that person was) is the one who murdered the animals and Park's twin. I think the 'he knows you can talk too' thing was just to throw us off and she probably showed him she could talk when they were in college together and was close. (that's my guess)

I'm not sure how they'll follow the novel, but BSE publicly announces to everyone he's not the real BSE during a press conference and fakes his death in an explosion then disappears, leaving HJ to believe he's dead but then she finds out he's alive (I can't remember if it's BSE himself anonymously calling her giving her clues to where he is or if it was Park that found out and told her lol, I'd have to go back and find that part) but she follows after him and they're reunited after a year--I think (it's been a while since I read it and I've read/watched so much since then lol). And yeah HJ goes tf off on her mom and sister after BSE fakes his death--and she thinks he's actually dead.

Assistant Park is the one that pushed her off the cliff and doing most of the things behind the scenes, but he's being tricked by the 'real' Baek Saeon who is the 'kidnapper'. Park thinks the 'fake' Saeon is the one who killed his twin sister when in truth, it was the real one, and the entire time he's been helping the guy who killed his own twin and he doesn't know it yet. He feels a lot of remorse later when he finds out :/ But this is also if they follow the novel.
was really excited to watch this because the tension filled enemies to lovers & obsessive love kind of romance…
Yes... and no. He fell in love with her when they were kids, so it shows flashbacks of them from when he started to fall for her. Ex: him secretly watching her during really tough times from afar through her bedroom window as she practiced sign language in her room.
So, he does already love her, but he can't show it for reasons so he never opened up to her. But you see the 'love blooming' from when they were kids in the flashbacks. It's more of an 'aw sweet' feeling in the flashbacks and then he goes from 0 to 100 real fast when he finally gives into his feelings as an adult lol. I'd label him more as a 'possessive/clingy' ML
I'm trying to hunt for anything to fill the void, but I can't find anything good or similar😭😭😭
😱I had to pause at ep 13 and move to other shows bc I was getting a bit bored, but I had no idea it had a remake. Clicking on that led me to finding out they remade Business Proposal too😱😱 I love and am scared of remakes at the same time 😂

Yeah, it really had a build up going by ep 10 (the one I was on when I left that comment) but now I'm on 13 and I'm like well these felt like filler episodes. I thought it was building up for a hot romance, but we've turned into a murder mystery out of nowhere 😂🙃

I'll have to check that one out. I do like shows like that. TBH, I like allll genres if it's a solid/good plot. The more twists/drama the better though lol. I just found a gem I can't believe I hadn't watched yet, I'm loving it so far My Lovely Liar. I'm stuck on this 'gray ML' trope atm😅
Blind was already on my ptw list so someone else prob rec it to me, so I'll have to start that one soon at some point 😁
