As much as I love all the screen time of the main couple’s love story, I think it’s a bit weird that we’re over half way through and we haven’t gotten to the ‘love’ part of the second couple’s love story yet. Are we sure it’s only 8 episodes? Like really, really sure?? That can’t be right. Right? I feel like it’ll be 12 episodes. What’s the official line from the studio?
*actually, I hope they’ll split the difference and make it 10.
They picked a great airing date for this. The only other good date would have been in July. I’m stoked. It’s the year of the sequels and I’m already on cloud 9 from Sweet Home Season 3 dropping last month (I still need to carve out some time to binge this). 🤗
I just have a feeling this is either going to be a very strong performance from her or a lacklustre one. I don’t see it being in between . It’s why I’m so intrigued, because it has all the potential to be a very powerful performance and I’m fully prepared to be bowled over if it is.
This was my original thinking too but BLs these days like to add a twist, so now I’m not so sure. They might…
I concur with your logic. All the signs/logic point to Vee but I’m used to BLs these days throwing in a twist that may or may not line up with the logical outcome.
Listen wee is the reincarnation because that prince guy likes him.. simple..if am wrong then I will get retired…
This was my original thinking too but BLs these days like to add a twist, so now I’m not so sure. They might be going the “Ms Wad is whomever San has in his heart” angle (as in, it’s a test of true love and the right person will be the person he truly loves).
For any novel readers has the series missed out much from the source novel? i know cdrama's are usually 30-40+…
Yes, the series is condensed and ‘reworked’ in many aspects compared to the novel, but I think the essence and the important parts remain.
Because of said reworking, I don’t think they’re missing context per se. Had they not reworked it to fit the 12 episode structure, then perhaps the context may have been off.
The novel is more fleshed out, a LOT darker and far more explicit. It kinda felt like a different story in some ways and at the same time not (if that makes any sense).
If you are having a feeling to read the novel, you should go ahead.
I’m ready to be surprised by her in this drama. It’s these kinds of actors that will either show their great potential when given a great role or they don’t.
when it comes to any drama nowadays why does the director and producer and screenwriter always feel the need to…
The toxic and SA trope is something that is not new but are a remnants of first wave bl. The SA and abuse storylines is something I hope bls eventually phase out because it’s very rarely done with enough nuance BUT I do appreciate that some viewers like those tropes and I don’t begrudge them that.
I did not expect to be crying this episode. In Vee’s mind he’s losing the two people he loves. He must be feeling so empty and alone, left with no one. Damn. The heart just keeps breaking.
and she didn't recognise the guy who supposedly killed her. It's not that hard to find out details of what happened…
Yup. As soon as she showed up I knew the terrible black sheep of the family prepped her. But regardless, the test from the deity is about finding true love and that is Wee.
