I can’t believe the next episode is tomorrow. I feel like I saw the last episode just yesterday. This week has flown by for me.

Fr I don’t know why it’s hard for people to grasp that it’s like having a k*ller after you. People have gone into witness protection for less. 😅

But also there seems to be another reason why they don’t want to be found by the father.

I think so too. I hope where this storyline between them is going is that Ran-joo will achieve the 20M goal, take over R&J and become the music CEO she was born to be. Helping new talent come through starting with Mok-ha. The scenes with the old lady is throwing me off though because if she is Ran-joo in the future, then it seems things didn’t work out how she hoped. Although, this could be another misdirect.

I hear you and appreciate where you are coming from. I quite enjoy mystery so I am loving all the different elements of this drama including the side story.

If it helps any, it seems like from next episode onwards we’re gonna see her becoming the diva/singer.

I’m reading lots of theories from others and I hadn’t considered some of them. I initially thought the body was someone the abusive father killed and covered up by dumping them in the lake and the father being brought to justice for that person’s murder will be the Kang family’s way of getting away from him finally.

Don’t worry I wasn’t trying to chastise you or anything. I commented because I thought the same after first watching her in EAW and then when I went to watch her other past dramas before that I noticed some of the quirks, so I figured it must be her natural mannerisms and that was one of the reasons why the Director chose her for the role of Attorney Woo because she naturally had those mannerisms already.

After I watched EAW I went looking for other Park Eun Bin dramas and noticed that she had some small Attorney Woo quirks in them too but to a lesser extent. I thought to myself, “this is probably why they hired her for the role because she naturally has these quirks.” Of course they magnified these to a bigger extent for her character in EAW but it’s her own natural mannerisms so it’ll be pretty hard to break these as they are her own.

Yup. It seems that way. Unless they got another trick up their sleeves for why the other brother ended up in the hospital.

I don’t have livestream but I came across a clip on tvn where the whole family is in their old house and both brothers as teens are cowering from the dad. The dad is arguing with Ki-ho and picks up a chair to hit him. The other brother gets in the way to protect Ki-ho and ends up in hospital. He wakes up to his mum there in the hospital with him. It didn’t have English subs so I don’t know what’s been said.

Right now, this is the mystery that keeps me up at night.

I put it in my discussion about parallels and foreshadowing that it’s something the writer has purposefully done to either serve as a red herring or to hide Ki-ho in plain sight.

I still have this feeling too. I feel like Bo-goel is the older brother even though I think he’s Ki-ho and Woo-hak is younger but I haven’t figured out a reason why they would make this age change. Maybe it just seems that way because of the look of the actors playing them. Who knows.

We are a bit further down. Both I and someone else have mentioned this.

Watch the scene again where Woo-hak, believing he’s Ki-ho, starts to feel immense guilt that he ruined Mok-ha’s life. If Bo-goel is Ki-ho, it’s like we’ve been saying all along. He feels so much guilt towards Mok-ha and thinks that he ruined her life. He has a lot of regret which is why I think he’s so critical of Ki-ho when he talks about him. This is likely him being self critical. He hasn’t forgiven himself for what happened to Mok-ha and he’s also fearful because his father is very dangerous and people keep getting hurt because of him. I think he made a decision to ‘bury’ Ki-ho.

Woo-hak keeps saying he met Bo-goel some time after he woke up and saw his parents. This suggests he didn’t meet Bo-goel straight away because he’d been in a coma and after waking up met Bo-goelKi-ho after he escaped from his father.

For the safety of the family and to protect Woo-hak from the trauma, the family decided to conceal their past from Woo-hak and change both brother’s names, the mum’s name and start afresh by burying the past and Ki-ho.
