I absolutely love how they handle conflicts. FL messed up with that trashy move of putting Li Ni on the spot, like in selecting husband request and the kiss during competition. Then he started to turn on her, like getting his mother's pearl back and returning hairpin. Instead of apologizing or big explanation speeches she's like "cool you need some time to get over it. I still got your back; albeit secretly. anyway, go huff and puff as much as you want to ... for now... we'll sort it out eventually".

but in e29/30 it's his nanny's death that pushes him over the line and he's ready to rebel. She's a woman and an old one at that.

After e30 it sounds invalid, but up to that point he just manages to stand them for ethical reasons.also, it's not like they are his favourites . personally i'd kill them for no other reason that they are in the way of my being an emperor. if a woman i love is involved as well - they don't have a hope. And it's not just "a woman" it's a woman with whom he wanted to have 8 kids :D

It would be a really trash move on her part.but if it's imperial edict there really no choices left.Death of emperor's grandson is also plausible but for some reason I feel it would be marriage related.

Well she needs him to rebel. So I'm thinking it could be along the lines of her either choosing or being forced to marry the other prince. Don't know if anything else could get him moving in this direction.

Funny thing is that LiNi does not need FL to achieve that ambition of hers. If he does what she wants him to do she is actually a bad match.

I feel she crossed the line in ep28 when she kissed him to win the game. Really set herself up for future misunderstanding.

For some reason non of my rankings hold. I selected stars, message box pops up (I close it because I don't feel like writing a review) I close it. when i select the same episode again there's no value for "my rating" stars. Only when I selected the number of stars in the popup box did the rating persist. I am glad that I've figured out that the other values in the popup can be left blank. Thanks.

I went over the previous eps which I ranked and all of the appear empty again. I only click stars so didn't write anything in the popup. Maybe that's why I abandoned ranking episodes.

She was fixing the portrait at his place with him for over an hour.She would've been told to go home ages ago. She mentioned flammability of silk and gold thread replacement only to explain why it's taking her so long

to see the nanny was ML's big wish but she is just an instrument of miss Gu to spend some time with ML. i would be surprised if she created a big misunderstanding because it seems to go a different way now.

silly misunderstandings are the things i hate the most. here first one was resolved in 2 episodes. the ongoing one now is not a misunderstanding at all albeit they are at each others throats.

ML knows what he wants too. It's just that his wish is a pipe dream :D

her belief is more in tune with real turn of events. while he thinks he can escape this fate. I am glad in 25 he asks do you want our children to have to go through the shite my brothers had to go through? But what's well done in this show is that both FL & Miss Gu know that he has to go through it regardless but one knows that he does not want to the other thinks he does.
