Episode 1 isn't catching me at this moment, but I believe it's the mood I'm in and nothing to do with the drama.…
i timed my binge to sync with the end as well. yeah i totally agree with what you said here and in the other section. i always try to find something positive to justify my wasted time. but, it's pretty tough with SaB. i laughed a lot at "wrong" times for wrong reasons especially the dialogues. i also hated the ost which was sometimes inappropriate for the scene or just at wrong volume... wait i feel like i'm ranting now 🤔
Egg & Stone it is! i'll start where Buying offers princess a steam bun in the forest 🤣
Okay listen I agree this was a mess but just because they did a bad jon on it doesn't mean it will be the case…
ah yeah that's always a chicken& egg problem. luckily i had no expectations going in. i wasn't mad into xianxia at a the time either, actually i think i picked it up either because heaveninmuse had it as her "must watch" thing or shinigami pitched it on TLSOL. but yeah loved the costumes, few good scenes there too. orchid's voice was just right!
Much better than "Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact", but still pretty draggy the most part. Solid…
there are better places to go for "good kisses" than c/k/t/tr/whatever drama. sorry i just don't get that obsession with "kiss" count/quality. i'm like wtf are you in danger of being beheaded or something.
as i recall in RMP most survive. there's an extra episode to "survive" the ML as well.
i don't know if Rumu had to die. i guess intent there was to epmhasize ML's frame of mind that now , as fox demon said, he is prepared to kill his family members. but yeah i dont see a reason why wei yun had to die. i'm like "tsss... that's just cheap".

in LIP, i was alright up to probably 20th minute of the last episode and then i just went like wtf did ye do. i wasn't crying i was shocked that they'd do that it made no sense at all to take that route. like it's supposed to be the first part and they could've made the other lad lose his mother a different way. it was just bad. i can only guess that after RMP they did some calculation and came to a conclusion that people who watch this don't want a happy end. awful. as far as i'm concerned LIP is the worst of the 3. this one is second.
Personally, I think the script was badly written, and the Main role characters were so badly written. Now, if…
i can only guess that it was the intention to emphasize his determination. as in he is teetering on the brink of being normal but overcomes his desires for something bigger. like in mlcb when he pushed away his ex & that lady doctor. in mlcb it made a lot of sense. here it was just weird. so yeah, i concur,.
I love the first part of this drama. Qingtong was so clever, dilligent, resourceful. She is such a good and pure…
when she was saying goodbyes it looked like she knew what had to happen and she went along with the plan willingly. also, i felt the last line when she was called was on the level and like a new start.
had to brood on the ending for a bit. maybe the timing was not right for me to watch this. but here I only liked 12580 - that spider is simply the cutest little thing.
anyway i think that out of the 3 - red moon pact was the best. it was also criticized for lack of chemistry and the awkward relationship. well given that that relationship is considered awkward then their awkward chemistry is appropriate so i had no issues with that.
here, chemistry is being criticized - essentially that their relationship is like the relationship between master and disciple, or whatever. well if their relationship came through pity and gratitude (correct me if i'm wrong), how could it possibly transform into a healthy balanced relationship? that would probably require multiple plot-twists and episodes focusing solely on that relationship to get to a point where transformation could be believable. I guess the story wasn't about that.
so, yeah, i think them ending up as a spider & butterfly puts them on the same level and whichever way they are going to cultivate/grow together is probably alright. the ending is definitely happier and more normal than LIP's.
Its sad ending. The leads sacrifice themselves to eliminate the Black Fox.
"With a kid or something", eh, these screenwriters killed FL in the last few minutes of the final episode in "Love in Pavilion". Just when I settled in to "nothing could go wrong" mode 😭. Anyway, cute spider & a butterfly is definitely better than what i expected.

it's not that bad/sad. they come back. herself is again a cute little spider. i'm guessing he is a butterfly. but they communicate and live near the tree which is now not evil. hopefully not too much of a spoiler. also i was in tears for half of the episode, mainly because i was laughing so hard at the fox demon's voice and what he was saying. so yeah, it's a happy enough ending for me.
