well yeah how many generations does it take? would it have helped if they didn't worship him as much? who knows. maybe that's why it's not a common theme. anyway, i wonder how they're going to wrap it up - it just can't go on like this for another 11 episodes. now i don't even believe that he could be their ancestor.
If you are craving for a similar plot, you may check out a CMini called A Farmer's Fortune.
oh i think it's good, and if you said that AFF is similar to invincible stepmother then it would be like 90% similarity. but other than running the restaurant then i see nothing in common plot wise. could you spoil me please?

lol, almost every female time traveler/transmigrator sets up a restaurant. other than that the plot is completely different.
here plot looks very unusual. like time travel/transmigration without some "accident" is pretty rare. unless they all had some food poisoning that wasn't shown - the whole family just walked through magic portal. also, romantic entanglement like that with an ancestor i'm only aware of "My Fairy Doctor" and even then it';s a bit of a stretch.
She was awesome in Guardians of Dafeng.my bad ... i once again confused her with karina zhao, of course SJB was…
in GoD she was a matriarch in a similar set up as here, so not a lot of screen time, but she really captures attention. If nothing else check out first 3 minutes of 2nd episode when the whole family is together for the first time (it's better with last 15 minutes of e01)
πI wondered how long we will have to drag this trope of FL being guilty of her feelings towards her perceived…
eh, i was wondering about that. but then i remembered the issue Marty from Back to the Future had. Was it really that wrong for him to get together with his mom in the past? same set up just a few generations later. How many generations do we have to go back before it becomes OK or at least stops being weird? π
well, google translated original title as "a feast in yong'an", i prefer yummy yummy purely because of…
well i spent a bit of time brooding about the name a while ago so it was nice to see that someone else did as well π
i always had mixed feelings towards this ML, so he didn't fit the equation in my decision making process, but the poster on wetv it's just ... well... yummy. so i guess they just came up with a poster first π
Truly honest question... If you know that this is a sadomasochism romance drama, AND that you do not like the…
i'd say an honest mistake. I didn't know that it was an s&m drama either.. i thought there were some scenes with some omissions/strange editing but nothing here felt weirder than usual. anyway, i too didn't realize it was something that required an acquired taste.
Only complaint i have is the fact that she fell for him way too fast. Way too unrealistic even for a fantasy drama.
if you mean when she fell for him as "Xiao Wu" in 2nd life, totally agree with you. we weren't shown any positive side of their relationship . Like it was shown that she was forced to marry him and then she was essentially abused. So, did she have feelings for him originally. Although, in the last episodes she says that he went proper crazy after his mother shown up in her 1st life as well. so there must've been some positives. but yeah for most of the show as far is this plot was going I was like how the hell... but great show overall.
Is "The Drunken Princess" on MDL i can't find it anywhere?
nah i really meant the use of a zodiac sign names unrelated to any particular drama . i have some awareness that systems are very different but too lazy to research. in time im sure i'll come across someone who will respond with 3K line post which starts with "did you know that leo is actually a bird ..." π€£
Is "The Drunken Princess" on MDL i can't find it anywhere?
... since i got you here :p ... are western zodiac signs popular in china? like there were a few dramas i saw where they reference them like it's a big deal. for example, super star academy, oh my emperor. coz gemini is latin and would rarely be used instead of "twins"

uhm although, she wasn't a princess, 'I simped for the Princess and found out what my jade pendant meant'. that kinda sounds reasonable to me. "Intoxicated by the princess" sounds alright too. thanks for stepping in though, coz i spent ages thinking - "drinking wasn't a major theme here at all why that name"? :D . anyway, i'll stick with Gemini for foreseeable future, cheers.

i thought it was a play on words on LZ & XYZs names, like "Jin Zhaoyu Drunk" "Golden Jade Drunk" but drunk part there doesn't make sense either. not going going to argue but I wonder if something was lost in translation.
very good. so much better when episodes are not drip fed. loved how quickly that thing in e23 was resolved. whether an s2 happens or not good ending too.

my bad ... i once again confused her with karina zhao, of course SJB was in JOL. memory isn't what it used to be.
