I'd still prefer to see those mysteries being solved by a bickering couple working as a team. If it's originally based on a monk & a boy then it sounds promising that there won't be angsty stuff in the mix.

My main worry is about relationship aspect. That couple got formed too sweet/deep so early on. I hope they don't mess it up with alternative definition of "comedy"
