guys does this get better? i'm five episodes in and lowkey bored 😭
lol some people consider it such a waste of time yet they still checkout comment section months after they hated it for the first time so that they could hate it again.
I think it was love at first sight It took him awhile to recognise/interpret his feelings as love for ages afterwards…
yeah it's a valid point too. of course this bit is open to interpretation but I'd like to think that a little bell went off in his head when he was buying the chicken :D
oh please. no more amnesia! i'm just through red moon pact and "hello there" any more amnesia i'm just going to…
I watched it before reading comments and honestly didn't think it was as bad as everyone was saying. After reading comments... I like it less but still not hating it 😆
But yeah it looks like anything I start nowadays it's all about people keep forgetting things 🙄 just saturated with this trope so unless it's very short I can't take it anymore 🤣

Well he recognized her true form initially. So maybe appearance didn't matter that much afterwards. But his clinginess, wanting to be around her and desire to take care of her started straight away. Could be explained by boredom and his penchant for magic animals as well 🤷
😂 So who's mls love interest lol I read a comment in 2013 version it said ml died in end but his actual lovers…
Oh Yeah, A Zi ftw 🤟. Also, I thought was kinda cool that in 1997 A Zi was played by Rain Lau, and in 2021 she was playing A Zi's mother, so I'd say she was able to give a few pointers.
Honestly that bit with A Zhu sacrificing herself made f'all sense to me at the time and looked like she really rushed it. But that's how the story goes so no complaints 😆

His lover tricked him into killing her so that he would not take revenge against her father.
Whom they mistakenly blamed for causing death of ML's father.
Anyway she's gone very early on. As far as romance goes it's kinda spread across space and time and isn't limited to main leads if that's what you're really trying to figure out 🤔

If we are talking about A Zhu then nah she didn't betray him. A Zhu and A Zi were lost at birth so they are children of Prince Duán and the other girl. QF is blaming Prince Duán for death of his father. Hence when himself and A Zhu turn up at Duan's place they are there to ask Duán some questions. A Zi also turns up and ends up in the water. Her mother recognized birthmark on A Zi and identifed her as her daughter. A Zhu also had this birthmark (and some piece of jade) so she understood that Duán is her father and A Zi is her sister.
So she disguised herself as Duán and told QF to meet her at the bridge for a duel. Where she lets QF kill her so that he could have his revenge.
Which is kinda fuxked up.
A Zi sees how QF treats A Zhu and falls in love with him.
Anyway, A Zhu's sacrifice was all for nothing coz it turns out Duán had nothing to do with murder of QF's father.
It was my first ever wuxia/cdrama; and this version is still is my number one. Even my now-deceased dog loved…
He killed his lover. A Zi is his sister in law. But she's is in love with him. He treats her like a younger sister because he promised that he'd look after her. Deep unrequited love scenario. A Zi is a bit unhinged 😁

He killed himself, kinda blackmailing Han emperor (who was his sworn brother) into promising not to invade Song territory by making it his death wish. She dug her eyes out to return them to a simp who donated them to her. But yeah lead up and that scene was very atmospheric and intense. And done very well. Tony Yang and the one playing A Zi felt absolutely right for this role.
I'd interpret it as endorsement 😁

And QF was haunted for the rest of the drama.
