If a show is only released internationally but not in China itself, it does not matter :) See "ABO Desire" and "Revenged Love". Both were filmed in China itself.

Not really imho. Hollywood productions are often not made in the USA because it's too expensive. And of course they get monetary insentives or even funding when they choose other countries. This show did it to circumvent chinese censorship. Also "The Sparkle in Your Eye" is listened as "Singapore" and was made there with chinese actors. So, this is then a double standard?

It does not matter. It matters where it is made. The country is Thailand even when the rest of it is Chinese. It's not more important. Because it is also valid for products... "Made in China" are stamped on it even when the idea for the product was done outside of China or do you think China invents everything?

It's stupid. The country of origin is where it's made. And around 20% of Thais are Chinese or chinese descendants... Also a lot of shows are paid by iQIYI (Tencent) or WeTV (Baidu) and are made in Thailand, because China is the second biggest investor in Thai BL.
I agreed with you, the finale felt rushed, But it is also unreleastic I dropped my rating from a 10 to a 9 because…
This story was a complete fantasy, so of course the finale does not make much sense. The real Apo may have died, but also was happier in the "other" realm.
Of course nobody would take this story seriously, it was just pure entertainment and nothing more. But compared to Ossan's Love or My Sweatheart Jom, they dialed the comedy stuff back and made the characters much more serious and much more believable. So in my case, they got an 8.0 regardless of the cringe, because they put seriousness into a comedy and I was entertained most of the time and not bored af compared to their last show. As you can see the story is a 6.5 but other factors elevated the series beyond that imho (acting, costumes, staging, props, music, cinematography). So a 9.0 or higher was never a discussion in my brain. 🤣
I also know that :)Why not is the question. There are not enough honest reviews out there. Reviews where the fans…
I like it more than you :) It was something different from the start. For me it was as nice as S1 of At 25:00 in Akasaka. But of course I can't assume S2 would be also much better than S1 :)))
I'll never understand why you put such effort into reviewing Special Episodes. The last paragraph sums up every…
I also know that :)
Why not is the question. There are not enough honest reviews out there. Reviews where the fans praise their ships don*t really help to make a decision if something is worth watching when you are not into the bubble but are interested with limited time. From my POV I explain why I like some series or why I hate them (or inbetween). Luckily some people factor my reviews in, watch series I like but they would not have thought of watching themselves first. So if this is helping one person alone, that's enough to do it :)
Yes, about S3. I'm not sure, but it could be with a focus more on this side couple with the occasional struggle for Yuki and a nice re-union for the MLs when they meet again :) Even when it should not happen, we had a good run with just two seasons. The next S2 will be Cosmetic Loveplayer and we will see if they can up their level as well...
I loved your headline “same old recycled GMMTV concept” and honestly I agree with you one hundred percent.…
Yes, I do. It's a different, but: The first continue error was when Saint told Perth he should wait at the car in ep 1 - and we NEVER saw what happened next. It pissed me off tremedously. Such errors or script lapses should never happen. Besides that I would say it's on a solid 7.0 track, but it also has the potential to get boring over time and fall off a cliff. Because William appeared already it will be overhyped as usual. Pond has the fun of his live in this role and Phuwin is always playing the passive one (I don't mean the sexual preference but the character). It would be so much more fun when Phuwin would be the aggressive one to persue his love especially because Pond has grown up with his father saying that love is a weakness. We will see.
Why has "That Summer" an 8.2 which is objectively a bad show and has not the same production quality compared to other shows.
I could ask you why "Century of Love" is a 10 for you - it has the homophobic hetero turns gay tropé which does not make sense in any story and I don't care if it's a fantasy. In 2024 such a tropé should not be supported neither by the fans nor the actors. For me it shows disrespect for the gay community, but that's only my opinion. You do like that couple as well, but you did the same thing imho. On the other hand, we have to accept, that the fan-armies will upvote any crap show regardless of how bad it is.
That's also a reason why GMMTV does not vet the authors and does not care, but the backlash from China made them cancel a show. What a waste of money on the promotion trailer - but they don't care. GMMTV is a BL factory and the bigger a factory gets the more the quality will suffer. Besides the point that the 22 shows will never materialize in 2026. They don't have the capacity to do so and still need to buy externaly to fill up the slots. DaouOffroad are signed with one31 which is more or less the same as GMMTV and both are owned by the same company.
It’s actually mad …I was following the news from a South Korean site and some university professor are debating…
There is no reason to retire... Yes he did something wrong in his past - as EVERYONE does - even if you went to jail - it's about rehabilitation and a second chance. Sorry to say, but Koreans are just stupid.

SK is such a stupid country.
