After one episode it's hard to say if it will be a good show or not.

Yes, I'm very hopeless, because I will always criticize bad productions such as this one... but you can still stay in your little happy bubble.

I know they stayed independent, but they were influenced nonetheless. And yes the most damning influence came always from the brits, see what it lead to in India and Bangladesh nowadays. The brits as superpower of the time, did put the world into a lot of hurt and for gay people (and woman) in India and Bangladesh the situation is still dire.

And why do Thais mostly westernize the world when they make BLs, especially "historical" pieces is really pissing me off. Yes, it's a fantasy, but again it's just dramatic because of that westernizing for the most part.

Why would there have been judgement? 400 years ago, gayness and "a third gender" was well accepted... it only changed when the french influence grew in then Thailand culminating when the US based soldiers there for the Vietnam war.
This show is sadly very westernized and much of the drama would not have really happened 400 years ago.

I got the end... but that was a bit a late... besides it was not a talk, it may be they just thought about it. It did not register at that scene. Maybe that was my fault... but could be fault of the subtitles as well... Did not understand why the german background was not translated even when it's an important point in the story.

When you watch school stuff, there are a lot of confessions with letters regardless of genre. So how much of a burden is it really?

That he did not die in the end, does not mean he will not die soon. As we know this illness is incureable... so they will have some sweet moments but at least they had mercy on us and did not show this end which would it make worse for me.

it was. that's why it's a 7 and not a 3 :) But there is a limit of what I can endure in such movies. Even when it was realistic to a point, it does not mean it has to end in tragic every 2nd episode. I understand also why he left - because that's love. Regardless a bit of fluff would have given this movie a bit more realism.

5.5 is "average", so to be it a 7 is positive.
I know, that many people don't give ratings below 5, but I'm not one of them. Sadly I can't rate with a 0.0, it has to be a 1.0.

It was for me, because it felt real. In other shows, I can't take it seriously.
I don't read BL anyways...
