For real. I couldn’t even finish that show
They could have changed the original material, as they did for example in "Our Youth (2024)" where around 40% was thrown out.

I found it unbelievable, because he talks on the street "that he did not put it in"...
I never said, that the character is homophobic. It's a typical manga tropé to deny it... but in 2026 I find it a bit bizarre especially when he is using a gay app to hook up with someone and was seen using it. So, whatfor is he denying it?

It was not really meant as sick otherwise I would not have used quotes.

Yes, it is, nobody denies that... but I never heard from my gay friends *THAT* was the reason... this comes straight out of a manga, especially when he says "I'm not into guys". Sorry, that's not really believable.

I never implied anything about gatekeeping... It's just wild when men write about women desires and vica versa. It's different when a gay man writes about his desires or his life ("Love in the Big City", "Life in Smokey Blue").

Why do you think, you have been attacked? Before coming to conclusions maybe you should ask first and not assume the worst from the get go.

Money, popularity boost, saving a dying career. That's the three main reasons. But japanese productions pay way less than korean ones.
Don't see all of them thrilling, but there were worse shows before...
There is no alltime favorite... all my 10 have a 10 for a reason, and one is not better than the next, it's just different.
The manga was made by a woman. A male wouldn't come up with such a premise. If a boy doesn't like boys he would never be curious about such a sexual fullfilment...

if they are uncomfortable with such role, they should have not taken it.
Many good? I disagree, most are 08/15. At least this one has a new theme even when it comes from a "sick" mind of a woman :)

The other actors also have skill but they did not commit to their roles... which makes Fukami akward at best and cringe at worst.

Honestly, being better than Fukami is not even a challenge :D
You would not assume it's the same team... besides the playtime which is a bummer for sure, but on the other hand better than 90 min thai BL episodes where nothing is happening 🤣

when it's the same team, it is :)
But they did soooo much better in contrast.

Review Lost to You
The dad being a former gay was the most nonsensical and illogical plot twist ever . The writers got drunk and…
As I said... it would not matter if he was gay, but times changes and just because he was not brave enough does not mean he should deny his sons happyness...

The major flaw I saw in the logic was the fact that the father, who was murdered, was stabbed in the back. How…
LoL. It was stated as suicide because someone made sure the police wrote it down like that. We see what really happenend, but if you have the money you can skew an autopsy result... or if they say from the beginning it's suicide there is no autopsy at all. It's also the police officer telling him he should not open old wounds aka his dads case.

EVERY religion of the Book condemns homosexuality. Only one executes people for it! So I think we should give…
Buddism: no, homosexuality isn't even mentioned.
Hinduism: depends on the sect, there is no central authority.
To say "every" is completely wrong.
And the old bible texts are a question of interpretation and may say it's not, because it was wrongly translated to force a narrative.
It's not that easy as you say it is.
And it's the western influence in asia which made it wrong and hated. See in Korea, a minority are the loudest opposers and demonstating even gay series/movies and now India is one of the most homophobe countries in the world. Thank you England.

Hmmm... I would be careful with such characterisation. As a gay man I would say NO, it is not. It's beautiful…
The one thing has nothing to do with the other.
I critize the show of being "too nice" to gays in the context of the catholic church which was mostly never ever the case, has nothing to with faith or not.

Why do hetero girls/women watch men kissing and f*cking? It's a bit weird when you think about it... it gets even weired when such girl/women attack gay actors for being gay...

It does not matter what it wanted to tell when it clashes with the gist of time perceived by the viewer. There is no hope for people in the catholic church because the dogma will never change. So, it does not matter if it is based on a real story or not.

It would be so much better when we would not have freedom of religion but to be free of any religion.

At least they did it... and better than most of their other productions. At least Forth did great, I can't deny that.

Unrealistic in the gist of time. Does not mean there weren't outliers where it really happened that way, but times were different.
Still it feels like propaganda for the catholic church and I do not appreciate it...

People watching this would assume it was always like that and that's not true. In Europe and the USA were a lot of scandals about sexual abused boys by catholic priests at that time. And it is not over yet... Two days ago: "For hundreds of survivors, the San Francisco Archdiocese's $395 million settlement is not simply about money. It is about being heard after decades in which shame, fear, loyalty, disbelief, and institutional power often kept painful stories buried. The agreement, announced Monday, would resolve more than 500 lawsuits alleging child sexual abuse by church officials and cover about 530 survivors. "
Last year: "The U.S. Catholic Church spent over $5 billion on victim compensation and attorneys’ fees in cases of clerical sex abuse of minors between 2004 and 2023, according to a new report by the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate at Georgetown University. Released on January 15, the 106-page study records a total of 16,276 “credible allegations” of abuse of minors by priests, deacons, and religious brothers, which were reported by dioceses, eparchies, and men’s religious communities in the U.S. over the last two decades."

So, can you understand that?

It's typical GMMTV - just don't offend - and damn the consequences.
Better queer-baiting then doing a real gay story. It's just about money for them, they do not care about anything else.
