It's funny that you wrote an entire paragraph trying to prove the finale is "ridiculous" because of airline…
It does not matter if it's fictional... If this were Star Trek then I would not have complained, but I hate logic errors.
And I critize the changing of the manwha especially of Sky because it's just done to force drama. And Jay to sell the series better or so...
You can critize bigger unrealistic moments in your review. I do what I think is right.
You assume something without evidence. 12 episodes to have a better finale and deeper story. The finale felt rushed. Everything is resolved in 10 minutes.
Leave me alone and don't read my reviews and all is well and don't write anymore. Your opinion of my reviews is neither required nor desired.
that's when "actors" do not commit to their roles...
It's always about money. I detest actors not committing to their roles. And I don't care if they are hetero, bi, gay, pan, asexual or something inbetween. For those two it's just an engagement boost for their fangirls, just to increase their popularity and to sell the next record better.
that's when "actors" do not commit to their roles...
then the director is an idiot... and the drunk kissing was not better. So I doubt it was the director... it was two heteros not committing to their roles...
Better than many thai shows :)And with low budget I understand it, they need to cut corners somewhere. When Gaga…
LoL, the AI would not know about it, when they talk about a 3rd person :)
I would not call that commercial, they take any show in, even if it's the biggest crap on the planet. Some shows don't need to be streamed there imho. Finding translators is not a problem, because they can find someone abroud, because internet and so. But paying them may be a problem. Intrusive ads will not increase their subscribers.
I have no idea how they work on Viki together or not, but I see subs are updated. But it's still better then AI only.

Viki is different, because fans do the subtitles. Viki has an option where anyone can make a subtitle, but mostly it's a team-effort, so 3-6 people working on it.
Gaga takes on so many series, but they do such a poor job with subtitles. Why? I have no idea, because they are international (but not always, because geo-fencing).
The pronaunces are the least of the problems. Most of the time, the sentence does not make any sense. Jargon is translated with a word which does not reflect what the meaning is.
If the AI would look at full series/movie it would not help much, because it would also need to understand the cultural reference. Things in Asia are spoken differently then in Europe and differently in the Americas (north/middle/south). Even when english is the language you can't copy & paste UK english to US english to Australien english or New Zealand. Different cultures, even different words and different attitudes.

Yes of course a human could, but for the companies it's a hassle to hire someone, make a contract etc. They don't have staff for that.
Of course they have no idea about the subtitles, they sold their series and are happy they got it financed and made possible a little profit.
As I wrote somewhere here, AI does not have a clue about language. You could translate word by word, but you can't translate meaning or context of the expression. It's not only what is said, but how it is said, if people know each other or do not. That can change the meaning.
It's not really the directors fault, because they are mostly only hired to do a project. It's the distribution which is at fault, be it GagaOOLala, iQIYI, WeTV or others.
Yeah Truefilm added noises for the fake bar/coffee shop in the background because it's neither of that... Sukfilm does the same now but it still feels not real :p Complaining helps but not that they change to a real location.
It's not chinese, it's taiwanese... you know the first asian country to have same sex marriage and have adoption…
yes indeed. But understandable because China is now flooding the market, looks like some companies discovered they could do it themselves without investing all that money in Thailand :p
I completely agree! This was a BL, but only because lead characters were guys...this could have been a sweet ML/FL…
It's not chinese, it's taiwanese... you know the first asian country to have same sex marriage and have adoption rights :) Why I don't mind bad endings, this series did not make much sense...
The English subtitles are done with what looks like the same bad AI as Sukfilms uses. Pronoun mistakes and wrong…
Better than many thai shows :) And with low budget I understand it, they need to cut corners somewhere. When Gaga has the same subtitles are youtube you know who saved a penny or two.
Nothing wrong with their acting, they are actually good and can play in contrast to many others :) Just remember,…
you should send such exposé via direct message...
Besides not on screen? No... Queer as Folk from 1999-2000 (UK) and an extended remake from 2000-2005 (US) was on screen. 2 & 5 seasons should have even satisfied you :) Yes HIV was a theme but it was not all of it, especially considering that it played out in 1999-2005 where same sex marriage barely existed.
I do also like small budget productions even some with only 8 minutes episode form, it always depends. The exploitation is still a thing, especially seeing that GMMTV did not participate in the pride in BKK at all and that Domundi sent two couples because of a brand deal and had a fan-meeting with inflated prices. That a gay company - and Domundi is just that, is that expoitative is very sad to see.
How life was for you, is not how it is for everyone. Don't assume gay culture is just that. It depends on where you are. And all the sterotypes of "gay culture" are also present in the "hetero culture" but just not as prominent or nobody talks about it.
"but it was the start of what we have now, and Gay men kinda hijacked a niche female genre and made it Gay - there are traces of that everywhere." -> does not compute. Gay men did nothing of the sort, because this genre came from woman and woman only. Gay men hijacked the exploitation of it, as did hetero men/women. When you mean they try to blend fantasy with realism that I can agree with you, but Thailand is the worst at doing that with few exceptions. The gay directors mostly cater to the fanbase, they do not care about representation at all.
You did not force anything on me and I do not agree with everything you say, because I think you got some parts wrong. BL can be considered queer media but it's really not. You can read this deep-dive: https://medium.com/@alexgowrites/whats-boys-love-got-to-do-with-it-332885dfa4fd This should give you more of a bigger picture and it will make you understand why I write my reviews the way I do. It's 2026, BLs as such are not really needed anymore. You can even consider BLs as queer baiting imho. It should not be just a fantasy for girls/women, it should also be about representation. It's an irony that japanese productions produce more gay series than Thailand ever did (I would only consider "180 Degrees Longitude Passing Through Us" and "Shine" as representing gay life) .
Nothing wrong with their acting, they are actually good and can play in contrast to many others :) Just remember,…
most are not that young most of the time and the script for really young actors such as "Love Sick 2024" was not really stellar either. It was better than the original imho but still not stellar. When you compare it to an european movie like "Young Hearts" where two 14yo played perfectly well (including kissing, because that's not a problem in Europe) the difference is stark.
Of course Theory of Love is very toxic and one of the few very toxic original thai productions. But yes, they are both talented when the scripts let them... their comedy series were marginal at best.
And I critize the changing of the manwha especially of Sky because it's just done to force drama. And Jay to sell the series better or so...

It should be a dating show. but an unscripted one.
Of course they have no idea about the subtitles, they sold their series and are happy they got it financed and made possible a little profit.
