I watched this when it first aired and was so disappointed to see people didn’t like it. It feels like it started gaining more recognition a year or two ago, and I’m so happy it’s finally getting the attention it deserves because it’s such a great drama
What an interesting way to kick off this drama—no warning at all, huh? But seriously, I really enjoyed the first episode and can’t wait to see where it goes.
The constant back-and-forth with Jaemin and Su Hyeon is giving me whiplash and a massive headache. They haven’t even done anything to me, and I want a restraining order! 😂
i feel like if suhyeon came back like the sweet person he used to be then he easily could've won da on back, if…
Su Hyeon never would have ended up with Daon, even if he hadn’t shown aggressive behavior. The well was poisoned against him long ago—thanks to Jaemin. When Daon saw Su Hyeon beat up that guy, he witnessed a side of him he had never seen before. That can be terrifying, especially since Su Hyeon had never displayed violence of any kind toward or around Daon—at least not in the past.
Someone, anyone, please explain to me—what the hell is wrong with Jaemin? He deliberately orchestrated Dasul’s injury, and his actions at the end of today’s episode were beyond uncalled for—they were downright sick.
Damn! the last scene. I can't think straight. The "please don't go Daon". (And this the first time SeongHyeon…
It was almost funny watching them call each other idiots. Like, you’re both adult men still chasing after a crush from your youth to the point that you’ve decided to rekindle a fake relationship you created back then, just so neither of you can date the guy you both like—who happens to be the same guy.
I initially thought Jaemin’s character was very confusing. I believed his feelings for Daon were fake and that he only wanted people like Su Hyeon and even Daon to think they were real because he enjoyed how Daon’s feelings stroked his ego. But the end of today’s episode really cleared a lot up for me. I was surprised to learn that Daon actually liked Su Hyeon first, and Jaemin might have poisoned the well.
While I can agree that Jaemin interfering with Daon and Su Hyeon’s potential relationship was wrong, I think it ended up being for the better. At the end of the day, Su Hyeon is a violent person, and it’s not clear that Jaemin knew that and was trying to protect Daon. I don’t think Jaemin was, and I won’t give him that credit.
He doesn’t distance himself from them, despite his hatred for Su Hyeon and Jaemin and their so-called “relationship.” Instead, he just endures it. He could have easily cut them out of his life a long time ago, yet he never did.
Oh no! I really hope that scene doesn’t exist in the drama. The writers have made it clear that Daon doesn’t have romantic feelings for Su Hyeon, so it would be completely out of character for them to suddenly sleep together.
Then again, I think I see what you mean—Daon is somewhat to blame too. He doesn’t really have a mind of his own outside of those two; he just acts on a whim. The fact that he went with Su Hyeon just to avoid Seong Hyeon is proof of that.
Su Hyeon hasn’t been directly violent toward Daon, which has made Daon blind to the urgency of Su Hyeon’s behavior. He has no sense of fight or flight and even goes with Su Hyeon willingly, despite past behavior proving that whenever Su Hyeon doesn’t get his way, he becomes violent.
I can’t express how irritating Daon’s behavior is—he doesn’t fight back. Whenever things go wrong, he just lets them happen. He didn’t even defend himself when people at the company were gossiping about him.
Su Hyeon shouldn’t have a redemption arc. His attitude toward the situation is a direct result of Jaemin’s manipulation, but his behavior ultimately reflects who he is. His initial reaction to everything is either excessively violent or controlling—no one can instill that kind of behavior in someone and have it last for years. Su Hyeon is violent because he is, at his core, a violent person.
