this is the same production team that produced LBFAD (top xianxia of 2022), whatever happens in yuehong is independent of other chapters since the teams are essentially different (yuehong used high tech for cgi while the other two used real scenes since their chars are ‘humans’ so no need for cgi). if they lacked budget they wouldn’t have opened this drama and neither leads would’ve picked this up. both the knock out and mlc were major hits on iqiyi in 2023 there’s no way the budget would be less. majority of these rumors are spread by cy’s antis in china 🙄

that 1 chapter a year rumor was made up by an anti on douban, i doubt iqiyi would wait that long to air one chapter per year - they don’t have much costume dramas in stock. yuehong and zhuye should be airing this year and with wangquan most likely q1 next year since it’s only been a month since it started filming!
