That was a fun challenge with some cute questions lol. With the five main cast members, the first question was “我喜欢的人 or 喜欢我的人” basically, would you choose the one you love or the one who loves you?

The ML chose the one who loves him, while the FL chose the opposite, the one she loves. What made it even funnier was that for most of the questions, they ended up choosing opposite answers lol.

If he did that in the first 10 episodes, I can’t imagine his character development over the next 30... I’m hoping there’s a second couple, new dynamics would be so fun to watch :3

Her brother did what now?! =/ That’s crazy… I haven’t watched the express episodes since they require extra payment on top of the VIP subscription. I’m kind of disappointed that they went in this direction with the plot. But from the first 8 episodes I’ve watched, they were nice. I like how they made the ML, he’s naturally toxic, but at least he asks the FL for her permission and tries to hold himself back as much as he can  lol. I’ll keep watching if the leads’ chemistry stays good.

I did a quick search and you’re right it totally gives Guideverse and Omegaverse vibes. The Affinity world feels like a mix of both. <3

Affinity is a virus from another planet. Those infected become Ren, who have strong abilities but can lose control over time. Inhibitors help, but only temporarily.
Yin can soothe Rens through affection lol even kissing or saliva works like an inhibitor.
Ren can detect Yin by scent, which totally reminds me of Omegaverse pheromones
When a Ren and Yin form a pact, they become exclusive. The ML is waiting for the FL to accept him he's not forcing her ,so they can make it official. Not sure how the pact works yet blood, sleeping together? So far, they’ve kissed a lot.

Lol this drama feels like Alpha and Omegaverse, but with a horror vibe because it’s literally about survival. Totally interesting and hot lol. The ML and FL’s chemistry is something I love.

She really empathizes with the ML, she’s definitely a sunshine. I love that the ML wants her to accept him, he’s not 100% toxic, even though it kind of starts that way.

Jin Zhao in the novel is the most gentle and thoughtful toward Jiang Mu. He remembers what she likes, her dreams, and appreciates everything about her. In the drama, Jin Zhao is equally amazing. He Yu made him even more special The casting of Heyu was spot on, the drama wouldn’t have been as good with anyone else <3

As far as I know, there isn’t a second novel. The first novel already has an ending, but there’s also one more special chapter that you can find here on MDL in the recent discussions.

I noticed some changes in the drama compared to the novel after watching the clips and edits. It’s sad to see the male lead still getting hurt and injured, but at least it’s not as bad as in the novel.

However, I wonder why the drama chose a 6year separation when his injuries weren’t as serious as in the book. Still, it’s nice to see the female lead become more mature during those 6 years.

He had an accident and got injured. He didn’t want her to worry about him, and at the same time, her mom was sick. So, he broke up with her. She moved to Australia to stay with her mom and continue her studies. Later, they meet again in China.
