I don't remember clearly if the funeral happened; as I was mostly fast forwarding after his death but they did show his dead body to the FL in ep10.

The most pitiful character I felt in the whole drama was Heo Soon Young instead of Jae Won and they just killed him like that......... I have been fast forwarding in 2x speed since his death as the latest episode have become boring without him. SY had no one throughout his life who really cared for him except the daughter of some other man and his wife who was least interested in him and only gave all her time to her work. He didn't know the truth and was just a victim like the FL but the FL had the cheat code to forget everything bad that has happened to her and live like a normal person but SY didn't had the previlage. He was literary treated as a janitor or a caregiver of the family by JW, he can't ask her about her work, her affair or even argue with her about all the days, she was spending in hotels without informing him. Even though he cheated physically for revenge, he himself was cheated emotionally all these years by the one he cared the most.

The drama would have been a lot better if it was Soon Young who was there with JW getting the revenge as this was their revenge not Tae OH ( who doesn't have much attachment or background story to make him a pivot role for the revenge of the couple, this is not his revenge...... he looks quite happy with the death of SY and destruction of the JW family.....mostly he just seems like a person enjoying himself by becoming a hero for damsel in distress without any emotional background in the revenge story). I have downgraded the rating of the latest episodes as I don't feel what the director wants to portray by killing SY without giving him a proper ending or revenge, just to make a couple out of JW- Tae Oh......

the Main leads barely had any screen time in ep 5- ep 6 ; they are basically dragging the show. This drama should be a miniseries with maximum 4 episodes.

The leads role makes me feel like I'm watching Lucifer again, with ML casual crime solving attitude similar to Lucifer Morningstar and FL being our all serious detective decker.

Yes, I have barely seen one or two harem drama unlike most Chinese novels which always have a plenty of Harem in the stories when the protagonist is the ML, while just last month there were 3 major reverse harem Chinese drama.

Maybe the the ML is not biological son of Bai, and he is the real older brother of Qiu Yu and son of Qiu father, who has send his son to take revenge against the Bai now.

I haven't read the later half of the novel, as I wasn't able to find any translated links and whatever was there were broken parts, also I had lost all my interest till then and was only able to reach chapter where she broke up with Yu Qing and was spending more and more time with Sang Yi Zhi. I think that was quite near towards the end, maybe they had open ending as she truely loved Cheng Yu Qing but wasn't able to get together with him and was treating ML as more of a close friend.
Better we wait for the drama, as drama are mostly modified for the viewers and they divert from the main long story of the novel and remove most of the second leads and other characters story in order to complete the drama in the time constrained schedule.

In the novel the FL (Ah Mai) loved SML (Cheng Yu Qing) till the very end and she broke up him only because of the war between the two nations and him being an enemy general and her will to protect her own people, the love triangle was one sided with negligible mention of the ML in the middle chapters as he was mostly jealous and had one sided love. His story looked more like the SML without much depth unlike that of the Cheng Yu Qing. The novel was too long so I left the middle portion and continued from where our ML starts appearing again and helping our heartbroken FL. This is a reverse-harem story with many males and even some female loving the FL, when she was in disguise. Lets see what they changes here as the novel is extremely vast.

exactly, on one hand they're saying the FL is extremely mature when she fake dated to send the ML foreign and on other she can't even say no to some new found friend when he wants to spend whole night alone with her in the mountains. She doesn't even know anything about Ding Ye personally but still spending all her time with him on the pretense of work, without even initiating the interview. Even on ep 18 when ML asked why she ditched him to go with Ding Ye, her reason was that Ding Ye was an important friend while ML is more than friend, overall she has taken Jiang Ye only for granted all this time and knew at the end he would compromise which can be seen from Jiang Ye confession in ep 19 that he knew all about her fake dating to send him foreign but the only reason he never met for past 12 years because he was angry how easily she had disposed him off without ever asking for his own opinion...... he felt that it was extremely easy for her to dispose him just like what she did recently by spending whole night with Ding Ye, when she had already confirmed having dinner with the ML, making Jiang Ye wait for whole night with extreme anger.
We know that FL has been loving him all this year but Jiang Ye doesn't he is still unsecure about her earlier behavior off leaving him without discussing anything and thinks she can again easily ditch him for Ding Ye without explainig anything,
Overall our girl only follows the motto of " either my way or the highway".

"Never too Late" is also another drama came on November last year where the FL breaks up without giving any reason with the ML for her career, goes to big town dates another 4-5 guys with last one being for 5 years, decides to get married to this guy and cames back to her home town for marriage, meets our ML then give him marriage invitation completely breaking our poor guy, who has been waiting for her for past 10 years without touching any other girl..., but on the day of the marriage she founds her boyfriend cheating on her breaks up the marriage and comes back to our ML all crying and explaining how she had loved him all this time and to prove her decision right of breaking up she dated 4-5 guys, nearly got married to one but at the end her decision proved all wrong and she still can't forget him and regrets her decision so now she wants to spend the rest of the time with him, hearing this our dude just gets all his hormones kicking hard ......... even though our dude was Sigma Male he still completely melted hearing the confession.
That dude was the true gentleman and would have just died waiting for her.....

It was told in earlier episodes that FLs Brother was a guard and maybe he worked under the MLs father, who was the chief in police department and was handling the case of the previous dead king and now her brother is the only person alive who knows everything about the conspiracy to kill the king, and is now in hiding from the FFL. The FLs father-in-law probably has kept the FL under his supervision by marrying her to his already dead son in order to make her brother appear before him. Also the new guy who is roaming around the Inn and staking FL in ep 6and ep7 preview, could be her brother in disguise who as come to save his sister.

This is really a good drama and the role of Lee Ha Nee always makes me remember Shin hye sun in Mr Queen drama; her facial expressions are extremely hilarious and up to the point.

He can be her missing brother too.

there are many, who gets a kick after getting drunk, and loves to enjoy their one-night stands or intercourse with strangers after drinking heavily in pubs or bars it's nothing new. You can't say that its always non-consensual just because of a pic of people going to a room to get laid after getting heavily drunk.
