it works both way..i don't know if you've watched the ML's previous works.. his chemistry with his previous co-stars like with shin min ah or lee sung kyung also look so great..specially the one with minah, despite of their huge age gap but they made it work perfectly..
and now with yoojung, their age gap is not too big.. they both compliment each other's look..and also acting..

These two are just pity characters who're entangled by bad environments caused by their parents... i won't blame any of them as one used the other... n one betrayed the other...both of them certainly never wanted to be this way if they had the chance ... there's no other choice.. both are hurt people deep inside.. i'll just enjoy the ride of this show and enjoy their acting fest...

The FL and ML are not really a couple. they are having this platonic kind of relationship.. the ML is always by her side coz he has promised to be by her side no matter what coz of what happened when they were young, the young FL was abused by the ML's mother. (and yes the young FL was already manipulative since she was young she intentionally let the young ML to see her getting abused in the bathroom)... but for me personally, since they have spent a quite a lot of time together, they formed a special bond and only with the ML that the FL showed her true colors.. i kinda think she must have hold a special feeling to him,even just for a little, we'll see more in the future episodes coz they'll be showing flashback to when they were 14 years old..

i read the webtoon.. SPOILER after ajin and jaeo left for hongkong, junseo tried commit suicide but failed..there would be someone saved him. then few years later.. no contact of ajin and jaeo.. his life went on normal.. he tried to redeem himself by helping all those people he and ahjin had hurt in the past.. shim seong hee, inkang's brother, mr choi (cafe owner) this one refused his help ... then suddenly jaeo contacted him.. n told him about their life was pretty good in hk, Him, ahjin and jaeo's friend opened a bar together and 3 of them raising the child together, i didn't think jaeo's adopted the child as his own.. then one day a rich man from entertainment industry came to the bar and pursuing ajin but ajin refused.. but the rich man kept insisting.. so jaeo was mad n beat him.. but then.. all the sudden.. ajin was gone.. she left jaeo and her child to go with that man.. but unfortunately, the rich man had a daughter and dislike ahjin, so she pushed her down the stair and she was severely injured that she lost her beauty.. then jaeo's friend and ahjin's child went back to korea, jaeo stayed to close the bar as he didn't know where ajin was.. but one day a hospital gave him the call ..then they met, ahjin said she forgot how she looked like and she wanted to see her daughter's face coz the child face exactly like she was..so they met again in korea.. and jaeo was asked to give letter to junseo.. letter was from ahjin.. then at the book signing, a little girl came up with his book and asked for autograph, the id said it was for her mom, then junseo asked who's her mom , she said baek ah jin .. then after when the girl left, junseo hesitated whether to see ahjin or not.. then he went to find her but she went away with her child..
