DS certainly scares for his life by putting a lot of locks on the house door..

his controversy doesnt even sounds like a controversy..he just said some stupid joke..n its been 10 years ago n he has apologized.. n never said anything weird again since then..so we can assume probably he has changed.. who knows.. as long as he is not a criminal..with just some stupid words from his mouth back then, i dont think he deserves to be hated n treated him like some sort of criminal.

im certainly not talking bout u.. but i rly hope other ppl will just forgive of what he did.. n stop digging his stupid mistake...its not liked he did over n over again recently.. for the fact that its been over 10 years ago.. i dont understand why some ppl still want to dig it out..and invite others to hate him too.. =__='' .. ppl made petty mistake sometimes even public figures..as long as its not criminal activities.. i'll still root for him..

there's sypnosis bout the drama up there..what to look forward is the dynamic relationship between the two main lead characters (Shin Ha Kyun & Kim Young Kwang). How they potentially become partners but then turn rivals.

i personally think that they could actually elaborate more with 2 more eps..so we could get a full picture of it.. it does seem a bit rush..but still ok..

i think that he was not stabbed right into his vital organs, so that he could still hold the pain.. i'm sad he died too but then it's realistic ending with him dying..

but he still got one chance to be good person but he ditched it..he chose greed in the end..

Doyoung still could hold up til his last breath coz he felt so much pain feeling betrayed.. and he needed to confront Dongsoo himself.. he had such a strong will til the very end..

Yes of coz Dongsoo would feel threaten.. that's why he made the move first..so it's not liked he doesn't know anything about the dark world (like u said in the previous comment below), he has a sense of it, that's why he had the gut to betray Doyoung first by working with the family gang member (even though those ppl killed his mom)

the point is, in the end, he has a CHANCE to get out of this dark world, but he didn't take that chance (how many time Beomjae has to tell him to get the hell out of that world but he refused)... because he CHOSE to be Doyoung and even more than Doyoung . this is the whole point of the drama..

it's about CHOICES of life. Dongsoo's inner evil want to have what he has started.. the business..the money.. the power.. and all that is GREED, if not what else?

i'm not taking side here, because this drama just thought us how a human succumb to greed and what would a human choose if he gets that one chance in life, to be a good or a bad human.

i think this drama told us that.. when one is being cornered, he'd just do anything to survive.. like how Dongsoo did in this drama.. yes he was forced at first.. he got no easy way out.... but once he got the gambling idea out and he felt unfair coz he was supposed to have/known more than DY, he started to have doubt.. and that's when his inner evil was awaken.. his greed.. he wanted more.. if he was not greedy, he would just silently working under DY, or just do what DY told him to do.. like my ideal ending, where DY and DS work together as partner in crime for longest time and conquer the gambling world and be undefeatable and live happily ever after.. but that's not the purpose of this drama..

it's called EVILIVE for a reason..it shows us how one could turn EVIL by the choice he made.. he made a choice of not surrender himself to the detective.. instead he chose to kill him.. so it's not anyone's fault .. it's his own.. and the choice he made came with consequences...he lost his precious family and it looked like he was okay with that.. he chose to live a double life instead..

Dongsoo knew he could actually end all this by the time he told the detective everything and promised to surrender himself in, but he CHOSE not to, he has a big chance to lead a normal life u know... even after beomjae was dying, he still wished Dongsoo to just live a normal life... he got the chance to repent and beomjae shouldn't have died if he surrendered to the police and let the detective did all the work to capture Doyoung.

the purpose of this drama is just that.. in the end, Dongsoo would turn himself into monster all by himself, coz of greed & power which he never got to taste. and that's his choice what to become.

both SHK & KYK complimented each other's acting, they balanced it so well.
