True, but his existence so far is quite coincidental. The FL had to be chosen to attend the make up seminar and then she had to choose to work for him. None of the choices were ensured to make him such an important addition. For me the transition hasn't been made seamlessly and leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm super confused right now. When did makeup guy become so important? Why isn't QL super worried about his sense of reality? The next 2 previews don't offer much insight. And who's the lady who adopted the makeup guy? I really don't care about him, he feels like a filler that suddenly gained front row importance. If FL hadn't been chosen for the make up seminar she'd never have met him, and even then, if she hadn't agreed to work for him she'd never have seen him again. Too many choice variants that minimise his importance. I mean if his existence is the reason behind everything should his presence have been necessary throughout the series?

I don't know if the 2018 we're watching is VR or not, but girl's got the most innovative amnesia ever. It's literally memory loss from hitting her head when she went to the concrete cube area coupled with the already messed up memory project. Well done script writers.

I think his friend Xu exists only he's in the real world whereas QL lives in the virtual world. That's why no one knows him.

I kind of get his behaviour. I'd freak out if someone I love was "possessed" by another soul. I'd want the old person back and the new one monitored at all times so that they don't disappear. I wouldn't be understanding and caring, especially if I believed in "time travel".

Where did Xu go? They were high up and he disappeared and he's the only one who remembers him. So what if all this is the ML's imagination? Also, he has a hair salon with his friend (FL worked in a hair salon and he used to sleep in it) and six years ago he didn't "appear" where they were supposed to meet with the FL. We don't know why, but what if, in the end, all 3 (HB,JX and QL) are part of the experiment? In this VR life he is the hero who saves the girl.

I'm so curious how it will end! I hope it's mind-blowing enough to make it memorable!
