First of All... I am scared of Jaemin. Though KS is a red flag and is violent, he isn't as scary as Jaemin. He can ask someone to molest Da-on just because he want to create a space between KS and Daon. I don't think he love Daon at all... I did read many ML in novels do that. So, I am not sure. But still I don't feel like he likes Daon though and I don't think he likes KS too. I think he is a selfish person who don't want to love something but find satisfaction when someone loves him without expecting anything. And hate when he is ignored.
The way Jaemin and Daon met each other feels like a predefined plan. Like how can a person know someone need a tutor just from first meeting. (Either they cut out some part of it from the story when it was adapted to series or it was intentional.) The only logic is he did a background check on Daon before he even met him. And the reason well.
(Well the series only showed that Jaemin first met Daon at highschool and Daon met KS in college. So, I can't assume that he did a background check on Daon because of KS.. that assumption is only applicable if KS met and fell for Daon during highschool and Jaemin who probably had a crush on KS realised it and started to get close to Daon. But I don't think this is the case)
There is a chance that Jaemin may have seen Daon before that first meet scene. And he become curious of the first person who ignored him when everyone else surrounded him(an obsession of some people who think they are perfect. It may be caused by family background or something). That interest turned into obsession when Daon fell for KS even though he, who is perfect, was near him.
Firstly, When he realised that Daon and KS likes each other. So, he made KS believe... no.. Fooling KS to believe that Daon likes him(Jaemin) and made a contract relationship with KS using Daon's feelings as a medium. "I don't have much feeling for Daon and I won't accept Daon's feelings but you can't accept it too.." A win win situation. . (PS : I think KS is a Fool...). It may make us and KS think that Jaemin have feeling for KS. And don't want KS and Daon to be in a relationship. But infact he didn't want Da-on to choose KS over the "perfect" him. He didn't want to admit that Daon fell for a violent person rather than him. And he made sure that Daon will always consider KS as a violent person by the previous plot by asking someone to molest Daon. And making KS beat that person in front of Daon. He made sure of that Da-on will always remember KS as a violent and unreasonable person.
Secondly, He made Daon's whole family indebted to him. Like giving money to Daon's gambler father and helping his siblings financially. Making Daon tied to him. It made him satisfied seeing Daon trusting him so much. Like playing with a pet which is too fond of you. But you put a rope around its neck to control it and use feelings to manipulate it.
Thirdly, Using KS to manipulate Daon and use Daon to manipulate KS. It may not seem like that but obviously Jaemin is Manipulating Daon by using his fear for KS. He made Daon believe that he and KS who is a cruel person is in relationship and he is controlled by KS. It made two effects. 1st Daon will hate KS more and more. 2ndly, Daon who want to protect Jaemin from KS, will want to be close to Jaemin and will confuse his protective feeling towards to the person who helped him so much, as a romantic feeling. Making Daon believe that, the most effective way to protect Jaemin, is making Jaemin forget KS and having a relationship with him(Daon). He almost succeed in it.
From all this one thing is sure. Jaemin may or may not have feelings for Daon. But I am sure that Daon don't love Jaemin. He may have loved KS when he was in college. But he never loved Jaemin. Jaemin who wanted Daon to love him failed first time when Daon fell for KS. But he almost successfully made Daon believe that he(Daon) have feelings for him(Jaemin). But the sudden reappearance of KS and a Big variable as JS destroyed his plans. And when Daon falls for JS, I am sure he will either do something to Daon or JS. He may destroy the trust Daon have on him in a worst possible way.
