It's very sad as an avid rebirth novel reader. Especially now with that no rebirth drama policy. Adapting the novels into dramas will feel like just borrowing the light/glory of the novel to earn money even more as so much of the story will surely be altered. It's also happening so bad in my country's film industry now

Yeah Zhou Ye films nonstop but was basically on hiatus in 2020 and 2022 coz somehow her dramas and films tend to drop all at once in one year like in 2021 & this 2023 . The first drama released this year was filmed 4 yrs ago. Idk if I'm still alive when this airs psh

Yesss our girl unintentionally went on hiatus last year coz the dramas and movies she filmed the past 3 years all dropped at once this year. So she also gets more roles for every exposure. I mean, who would waste such decent acting skills and good looks that save huge post-production fees?

REAL, seeing comments that she's selfish, self-centered and stuff was a headache. Everyone else cares about their feelings, money, and status, but HQ was juggling with actual lives, even that of strangers. All these ppl speaking out for ZXW for not being chosen when Girlie was just bent on saving as many lives as she could, including HRZ whom ZXW keeps being jealous of, not knowing using him to threaten HQ drives her mad and su*cidal not because of love but because of a loud "another death because of you!" alarm ringing on her ears for the nth time. Some ppl thought HQ was heroic for drinking that tea from the princess to save everyone, literally days after she admitted her dad's crimes as hers. Although she ended up dying anyway, she was glad that most ppl were kept alive this time, even that ZXW's status was saved. I commend his really huge merits, but he's really muddle-headed in the last eps. Understandable, but could've been sm better

Yes, lots of ppl r complaining, but I dont because from the start I felt and half accepted that the drama is angst. The dream thing is the most reasonable ending for an angst fanatic. But if it's true, how well designed, well-written can such a dream be. It even had lots of new characters and showed other ppl's POVs, which gives me hope it might not be a dream, ONLY IF the incense smelling thing doesnt exist lol

I think it's more suitable to say that she would rather die than let another person harmed/killed because of her. She basically did this for her dad when she admitted his crimes as hers. She was only focused on ending everything with less casualty, with everyone alive (as much as possible). It's not just because of HRZ especially since HRZ wasn't even in her past life so he was one person completely dragged into the mess. She only had Qianzhi and HRZ as the only ppl there for her without motives, but unlike HRZ, Qianzhi wouldn't unstoppably wreak havoc and stupidly seek death when she hears HQ is gone. So she has to trick and send him away. I think by planting the Wu guy just to stop him from returning, we can tell that HQ was ready for anything, even another death of hers, again, as long as everyone else stays alive. I ship HQ with ZXW coz they have the best dynamics as a couple out of the 3CPs. It would be so fun and nice if things weren't so ugly. But unfortunately, the circumstance and their status say a big NO. Honestly, right now I'm just watching it how I watched Snowdrop years ago. I would accept any painful ending as long as it makes sense & seems realistic. After all. I also really like angst that's why I'm hooked on this drama. But hey may I ask abt the settling down thing, is it with HRZ? Or r u talking abt the novel? sorry idk huhu

Since you are interested and even asked here, it's best for you to watch till the end, after all, happy or frustrating, if this drama got u hooked and you're just scared of being disappointed by the ending, u might miss out on important things since you already accompanied the FL in her journey. That's if you dont mind sparing a bit of ur time on the drama hehe

I think she also doesn't like HRZ and still sees him as a brother. She will never treat her biological bro the same way coz with the way Hua Shen was, she has to be like her doting/partial parents to do so. Blood-related or not, a troublesome boy (even if he's so nice to his sister) will never be treated the same way as a behaved one no matter how much similar your care for them weighs. Plus the more HS causes trouble, the more "death" alarm rings in HQ's brain, especially before his death. For sure, HQ will cherish HRZ as one of the only ppl who would never harm her like Qianzhi but it's just that HRZ has more impulsive, immature/ violent tendencies, unlike Qianzhi, which keeps making them look questionable like how ZXW thinks. Lastly, with ZXW always sounding her out/threatening with HRZ, she'll really go mad. Ppl kept threatening the safety of her ppl, she knows ZXW can kill HRZ unlike her fam since he's not blood-related and is even a love rival. Who would not go berserk at thinking another person who doesn't have anything to do with the mess might be killed because of you again. After the sudden confessions, HQ told both guys that it's a no. I ship HQ with ZXW but it's XW who didnt stop when she said no. HRZ more or less didnt overstep so he didn't put HQ in a difficult situation that much.

Yes even without the rebirth, FL can't be with ML. I ship them too but it's best for FL to stay with the guard, not necessarily as lovers but as companions coz it seems that she doesn't love him anyway. If I were to take this drama seriously, which I do, It's best to treat it like Snowdrop. The annoying and painful ending is still the most reasonable ending.

First few eps and I treated this drama the same way I treated Snowdrop. The tragic ending, altho it frking hurts, is the most reasonable/acceptable ending.

Now that I read this, given how we watched ML watch FL marry another guy with a calm face before, does it make sense if I say that the questionable things ML did in the latest eps were because FL divorced her husband and he saw that as a second chance, that's why he can't sit still anymore after the divorce, agitated like HQ when she was reborn. Too bad his status made him not a good choice for FL's simple life goal in both lives.
