When I tell you the story was good ! IT WAS GOOD ! I already had an idea about what was going on with Win but ALAN ? Amazing plotwist ! From beginning to end I was hooked, the pacing was great, the suspense was there, the song was beautiful and then the ending brought the tears 🥲 It's rare to get bl's with a good story this days so when I started I thought they would rush the execution for more romance and seggsy time but amen they didn't. We didn't get a lot from the second couple but the little we had was still good ! I will need to erase my memory so I can watch it again 😆
Honestly, someone in here called this BL the worst BL they've ever seen and I understand everyone has their opinion, but come on now let's be real, clearly that person didn't watch a lot of BLs 'cause when I tell you I've seen worse, babe I've seen worse. At least there was some continuity in the story, the NC scenes weren't over the top and the acting wasn't full on cringe. Reading the comments the first time I didn't watch it, it took me until today to decide to watch it and i'm so thankful I did ! I watched it in one go, it was fun and I liked all the couples ! Even the parents were the goats, supporting their children as they should ! Lee and Frank don't have a lot of work together but the last time I saw them was in that one series that shall not be named, where their characters's relationship started with a r*pe. The series wasn't the best but I liked them together so seeing them here in a less problematic trope was so good. It's a shame that they don't work together anymore but okay.
The Lost Tomb was really good so I knew The Lost Tomb 2 would be good too. The casting is very great, I've been a fan of Hu Ming Hao so it's great to see him here. I'm sorry to say that, while I know Cheng Yi is a great actor, that role didn't do well. He was more interesting when he played Qi Ling's doppelganger from the past, than during the whole show playing Qi Ling. Personally, Qi Ling is the quiet guy with knowledge and strengh, I know, but for me he just looked like a weird guy who would appear here and there for short times.
