A funny and true to story adaptation of the anime

First of all, for anyone hesitating to watch and feeling like giving up on watching the movie because of the comments, PLEASE WATCH IT ! I was like y'all, I saw the comments and nearly didn't watch, but I'm glad I watched it.
I don't understand why there's so much negative comments and people saying the Thai adaptation is better. Everyone have their opinion but I feel like those that don't like it rarely watch japanese shows and expected it to look like the thai version, when in fact the movie is a better adaptation of the anime.
For people that didn't watch the anime and don't really watch japanese shows, sure the acting might seem over the top and cringe but it's actually a good depiction of how the characters were in the show ! The actor playing Ryoma was not bad at all and the actor playing Izumi was not bad either .
Mind you I watched the anime a long time ago but they did so well that for each important scene, like Ryoma chasing Izumi around the couch or Ryoma helping Izumi with his manga, the anime version was just flashing in my brain like "OH yeah I remember that !".
The thai version is good but the Thai production always like to add something different for drama purposes or to add a bit of thai culture in the story. So if you wanted a true to the story adaptation of the anime, sorry but it's this movie.

Japanese shows are rarely serious and when they are they deliver it as it should be. The anime isn't serious so why would the actors tone down the reactions that the anime characters had ?

Anyway, watch it guys ! Have your own opinion !

A Wonderful Discovery !

A long time ago I watched The Lost Tomb series , so when I saw Candle In the Tomb : the Weasel Grave , I thought it was a a remake or a bad version. Thankfully I stopped being ignorant and actually tried watching it.
My ratings and review might be biased because I watched it before seeing that it was part of a whole series, so I didn't watch the original Candle In The Tomb. But I liked what I saw.
The CGI is a bit lacking at times, but if you're only focused on the story it won't be a big problem. Hu Ba Yi is the leader of the group, Wang Kai Xuan is his bro and partner in crime, Yan Zi is your loud neighbor that you can't help loving, Ding Si Tian is the dream girl and Hua Mei is the warrior.
I really like the fact that during all their adventures, Hu Ba Yi is protecting everyone and all of them can still fend for themselves. There's three girls so you would think that they would be damsells in distress but that was rarely the case, you would think there would be a lot of romance but Hu Ba Yi actually shared his time with all of them quite fairly (personally I liked him with Ding Si Tian but nothing happened with anyone so...).
Overall the story is really great with a lot of action, a lot of comedy, with some fights, with monsters, with weasels , with a good bromance between Ba Yi and Kai Xuan and with tombs !

NB : If you're still not convinced, let me tell you that my favorite scene involves a closet, three girls and ripped pants.
