Just finished reading the novel and My god!! I have never felt so restless reading a novel in my entire life. Might be a personal choice or affinity but I couldn't just empathise with the character YanMinXiu. Just couldn't 😮💨. Starting from the beginning to the very end. No matter how much redemption ,regret and suffering the writer put out in his character. I just really couldn't empathise with him. Whereas, Zhou Xiang was the most interesting and complex character that I have ever read. I believe the way his character was written, any person reading it would somehow or the other related to him. But damn!! this guy is soo hopeless is love. At every instance, till the very end I was, I was rooting for him to move away away his past life and love.But noo!! 🤷 he couldn't or let's say didn't escape , neither did I that how the story was written 😔. Even though I didn't liked what was happening,still would continue reading.
A typical romance happy ending did happen, but I was never satisfied with that. I might be too heartless 😅 but for me I would have turned the last page in peace If I would have seen Zhou Xiang being happy in his new life without MinXiu and honestly. I really don't care what happens to MinXiu.
What was most disappointing to see was that such a person as ZhouXiang ,lost his whole character, his whole personality and ended up being such a stupid fool.
