From all the teasers I saw what I deduced is they (the Daze mountain did something to him that removes his love thread making him forget all about how he loved her and their romantic relationship .
If you look at ep 18 preview you will see Yan Shuang and A Yin talking about Gu Jin's love thread and also about a flute , It seems the sect decided to separate them for their own good. Daze mountain considers Ayin their own so they really don't want her to get killed by that " Hong Chou cockroach"
Ultimately we know the fate they are trying to protect A yin and Gu Jin from is going to get them in the most tragic way possible.

Yes I like Lusi and Wang Sulongs Ost. But I feel like with greedy tencent rushing their release it might have been one of the reasons why the musical score that is the bgm is a tad bit underwhelming. They wouldn't care about the blood sweat and tears the cast and crew spend to make the drama good. Since all they want is a good financial report.
