Ep 29: The parents scene was the best - everything else felt a bit like a filler. Yes I get they had to bring the third wheel in, but they could have moved the story on a bit - like getting another case in or something..the writing department is a bit weak, I had to forward some scenes today..we are heading towards the end..lets hope for better execution!

Episode 28 was funny :) They did cut the hot scene from the novel - but ah well, censorship and nothing can be done about it..it still turned out cute though in the end..Bao Rui is just hilarious and I really like Cheng Xi - she is so pretty looking and makes a great pair with the SML.

The partner lawyer withholds some evidence on purpose, due to which everyone blames the FL and the firm incurs some losses..so she has a work issue. On top of that, ML is traveling and they have a huge argument about not getting married or having children. ML is firm that he does not want marriage or kids and FL wants both..so both come to a head and she just resigns, breaks up and goes her own way..until of course ML woos her back, which is all cute..I hope they show us all of this!

There are additional reasons why the FL will choose to do what she does and its justified well in the novel, we will see how they execute it - I really like her character growth in the novel through these actions and hoping for the same here!

Episode 27 was fluffy cuteness, I was smiling ear to ear :). Next episode should also be cute with the team building! The FL was a lot better in this episode and did not look super awkward, so I will give her that! The MIL was the star though - super funny and cute at the same time!

Yes, one sided from the female lawyer, it has not happened yet, but will in the next episodes..it all plays out quite well, ML is very clear about who he likes.

Ive read the novel and she does cause trouble, but it plays out quite well for some angst in the story allowing for growth for both ML and FL - the FL develops quite the spine!

Episode 25 had a decent build up of a sad story for CY to solve..I cant get over why she was smiling as her client's plight though...the expressions seemed completely off. I loved the second couple's interactions though, they were cute! Ive read several comments about this lead actress not comfortable with intimate scenes and it is a bit jarring even in this episode, they should have definitely kissed by now, but ah well, at least there is a story on the side that is engaging enough besides the ML's eye candy.

Episodes 23 and 24 were the absolute pits...I can take some cringe but this was too much even for me 😭😔..what's up with a 30 year old acting like they are in middle school? I get it that nobody has dated but that was OTT even then..I will blame the writing, the book was a lot better with the confession and how the ML handles it. At this point I like the chemistry between the 2 other couples a lot better. I will finish it because I liked the book, the drama execution could have been a lot better.

Definitely on my list after this one! I am a Zhou Ye fan after her last 3 dramas that totally surprised me with her range, so secretly hoping for her pairing with CXX too someday!
