Just finished this drama I binged watch for 3 or 4 days anyways this is a wonderful drama that left an impact on me. The story is very suspenseful and binge worthy especially the reverse harem with almost 4 MLs is very entertaining, the drama excels in character development especially Xiangliu,the visuals,costumes,picturesque landscapes all are stunning and eye catching the acting is also pretty good. Something I found new and different from the usual is a lot of physical and mental torturing to the FL it might not be everyone's cup of tea
My side in the shipping wars is def 100% team Xiangliu lol (he looks so fine with white hair and also the neck bitting scene is HOT! c'mon their chemistry is just pure gold).Although his character from the starting is very despicable but we can't deny his character toward the end seemed like the only one who really understood our FL and his character is the only one aside from fenglong that has no other women in their life. The other mls are also interesting on their own but in one way or another they have hurted our FL on a deeper level while xiangliu has hurted our fml with mostly physical wounds. I lost interest in TJ because of the fake promises and being very gullible and CX is my second choice
it's a pretty well build xianxia drama but the ending is not my cup of tea. The fact that ml and Fl literally lived 3 lives and still could not to be together at the end is just straight out sad and we all know that ml did only good and the least he could get is to be with Fl. But still, I am a person who really cares about the ending of a drama it doesn't matter how good it is if the ending is too rushed and unfair it's not enjoyable. could've been a 10/10 but the ending is just nah.
It's a really good xianxia romance drama with great chemistry there is a lot of frustrations that could be a lil too much for some people but overall, the plot and the ending is very interesting and binge watch worthy, The only red flag and something I really don't agree with is that there is an ep in 30-40 where ling long getting slapped by min yan(6th senior) which I think personally that kind of scenes promotes violence against women and that could have been easily resolved with more confirmations and a ted talk not by using violence since it is a drama focused on value of relations.
