My personal take on grandpa w pio conversation.

What I concluded is that grandpa wants to stop pi o from playing because he IS a perfectionist and arrogant and doesn't think he's good enough. He doesn't think that pi o who's not good enough should continue playing the piano because he will self destruct just like he did. All these years, he shuts him off because he doesn't like him that much or care to tell him the truth. What he doesn't realize is how damaging this was to Pi O and what a sick daughter he made. He doesnt realize to gain his validation, all of this shit happened. Only after seeing despite Pi O getting scolded by Jeong Yo, he continued to play the piano with so much emotions because of his guilt and jeongyo Grandpa started to realise he has started to break his mold. (and might slowly realize it's because of jeongyo.) He then gives him advice in ep 10 because he starts to realize everything that's changing. He also realises that Jeongyo's score is strange because it's all about Pi O.

Might be a bit of a stupid question but I'm genuinely wondering why Grandpa is doing of all these now? I see there are many shots of him looking at pi O's playing and him and jeongyo's convo and his metaphor so like... aside from the he's dying, do we think that it has a deeper meaning to it?
