A stable homosexual couple in this toxic world

The first thing that took my attention was the nature of the lead's relationship. Hajime and Kai both posses opposite personalities but they work together to balance their relationship. They are not afraid of their sexual orientation and delicately balances the line between their choice and the society's perception. From the very beginning the lead's have established their viewpoint on society yet also accepts the reality. Another part that I really appreciate is that Hajime and Kai communicate with each other. Even if they have different opinion on a matter they talk it out and respect each other. It's not everyday you will stumble upon a couple like this. I liked how they showed different types of flawed marriages. The problem is not in the gender but in your intention . Anna was a charm throughout the whole show who made their lives more vibrant. The ending with Anna's father was also satisfactory. Painting a father as a villain would've too cliche. Anna's father was a victim of child abuse and couldn't break the generational truma. I n the end he realized his problem but at the same time It's not possible for a man to change overnight so Anna living with them was really the best choice

Now the problem, Anna's mother died without any explanation. The cause wasn't even revealed. Though her death was foreshadowed, a death without any explanation is confusing. Another thing which is my personal opinion is that I really wanted to know Hajime and Kai's past. Based on Hajime's introverted personality I was really intrigued to know how they got together and managed to build such a stable home

I got out of a major drama slump because of this show. Works like this are neglected because it's bl and bl community neglect it cause it doesn't have the spice they want. All I want to say it this show is larger than a bl genre. I live for shows like this. I usually don't write reviews but someone should, so I took the liberty :)
