I think Sarin must have been disappointed with the outcome of the two BL series. They are far from being the worst that gmmtv has done lately, but for some reason they didn't win over the audience like PerthSanta and JossGawin did. EstWilliam too

I think the biggest problem with GMMTV series is that the BLs are boring. I don't even think the acting is the main issue it's possible to tolerate average performances but boring stories are harder to get through. I like to use the CW as an example. I don't know if that channel still exists in the U.S., but they used to make these low-budget series with average actors, like Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Supernatural, Smallville, Roswell. None of those were masterpieces or had outstanding acting, but they were fun shows

They clearly don’t care about the quality of BL series. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a GMMTV Lakorn, but they’re clearly better.

The only worthwhile thing in the Cdrama The Female General is Cheng Lei and his acting.

In my opinion, the problem is that this series isn't the next Ari Aster, Copolla, Scorcese, Spilberg movie, so the scriptwriter can use plot twists, suspense or mystery to keep the audience interested.And action scenes.
