I think the biggest problem with GMMTV series is that the BLs are boring. I don't even think the acting is the main issue it's possible to tolerate average performances but boring stories are harder to get through. I like to use the CW as an example. I don't know if that channel still exists in the U.S., but they used to make these low-budget series with average actors, like Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Supernatural, Smallville, Roswell. None of those were masterpieces or had outstanding acting, but they were fun shows
