An Important story

In general, I enjoy the series, even if I find it rather slow. It's hard to explain, but there doesn't seem to be much going on, while we're discovering important elements about the characters.

I really like the way the relationship between Dokrak and Pam is built up. We see them getting to know each other, being shy and, little by little, feeling comfortable with each other.

The series really tackles family trauma, and it's done in a very relevant way. Nene, Dokrak and Kawi see their parents as people who have neglected them and don't love them for who they are.

I sincerely hope they don't give Khem a redemption arc, as he embodies a horrible father and husband. His wife is also responsible, but she suffers his violence, so I don't blame her too much.

I find that the story is more about family than romance between women. There's certainly a love story between two young women, but what really interests me is family dynamics.

I hope we'll have more stories like this.
