A good trio
When you watch a lot of GL series, you tend to anticipate how they’ll wrap up.
What makes Rollercoaster stand out is its fresh cast and original dynamics, especially the love triangle between three young women. Pure, Air, and Loft have kept me engaged over the past seven weeks. Between tension, lies, masks, and parental pressure, they managed to pull through.
I had a real soft spot for Air. She powerfully conveys the idea that living only to please your parents will never truly satisfy them. Actress Neko did an amazing job, and I really hope to see her in future projects.
The romance between Loft and Pure was amusing: Loft was willing to do anything to win Pure over, and I enjoyed watching her so hopelessly in love. Honestly, I’d love to see more of that kind of storyline, just for my own enjoyment.
On the other hand, I wish Lamp had more screen time since I found him really likable. I also feel the love triangle could have been more dramatic and passionate. The ending was fairly predictable—you quickly realize who Pure will end up with, leaving little room for doubt.
I really like Neko
Still, Rollercoaster is a series I would recommend. The characters are endearing, and the overall experience is enjoyable.
