This was your typical idol drama with tons of skippable moments and a LOT of 2nd hand embarrassment for he FL, lmao she out there doing things waaay out of my comfort zone, it was stressful 😭
The plot was very boring and  I do think DW was miscast here....he just doesn't cut it for me, probably too young for this, therefore not really convinced by the ''cool, hot domineering CEO'' vibe...which is why a lot of scenes were very cringe to me and painful to watch.
Don't get me wrong, he was great in LBFAD, I enjoyed watching him there, but not so much here, I think SML (Miles) would've been a better choice as the ML, but that's just me.✌️
The second couple was way better imo lol, it's rare when that happens but the niece stole the show
The main leads interactions were so plain and boring brooo it was exhausting  finally things picked up around ep 21 but dang they love dragging it and make grown adults behave like teenagers cause this should be 18 episodes tops.
 I could hang on only thanks to the Viki timed comments section and my newfound cdrama bestie, cause this whole project was a waste if time 😭😭😭

Yes, when I first found out about it I thought they're trolling me, but the censorship is part of China's broader effort to control media content to maintain cultural and ideological consistency. That is why when you're watching this type of drama you gotta be prepared for an unsatisfied endings, and the kissing scenes are also under censorship restriction per general, and for transmigration or fantasy dramas, regulators may be even stricter so yeah, it is a bit wild for me as an outsider as well but I respect their culture and I still enjoy these dramas regardless 🤩

It was a close tie tbh between XCX & XL, and XCX was a bit ahead only because the relationship of XY & XL was pretty messed up, and I am not a fan of the glorification of abusive relationships, however they also had the strongest connection as well, so I was torn pretty much the whole time....TJ's character was a bit too spineless for me...idk, it was a mess lmao, imagine my surprise when he's the one that ended up being end game 😂
Very true, when watching transmigration dramas I usually skip the modern world part cause of censorship...but in LGIEF the way it was woven into the story is way better than I imagine, so I'm satisfied with it, yes they didn't spell it out for us but it's evident about the ending.

Yep, I should do a more ample research on censorship so I would know what to expect, for example in LGIEF I already knew they would be tricky with the ending cause of the censorship so I was cool with it, but all the same, I'd like to be better informed 😂
