I think it ultimately comes down to what each viewer is looking for. Some prioritize originality, while others simply want an engaging story, compelling characters, or actors they enjoy watching. For me, it's the latter—I really like He Yu, I enjoy the plot, and I think the female lead is a strong character. Is it groundbreaking or unconventional? Not really. But not every drama has to reinvent the wheel to be entertaining, and I've been enjoying it for what it is.
