Also CXQ with the crazy eyes, bro pls sit back down, our girl is taken 😭 ZY is doing a suspiciously good job because I did NOT trust him from day one , not after Fated Hearts lmao.
Well said — I completely agree. Took a short break from MDL, and even just skimming through the comments lately…
THOUSANDS??!! Nah that’s actually wild 😭 like imagine just trying to enjoy your fav stuff and instead you’re out here curating your feed like a full-time job… I was lowkey thinking of making an X account but if it’s like this (and I’d 100% go on a blocking spree)… yeah no thanks 🤣 I mean I’m open-minded, I like a good debate, I don’t mind different opinions… but if someone’s straight-up delulu it’s like arguing with a brick wall 😭 at that point, blocking is the only solulu

Yup, figured 😂 I’ve reported some users who were being nasty several times, but since I’ve also blocked them, no idea if it actually did anything or just disappeared into the void.
Who would’ve thought that watching a C-drama and just wanting to casually discuss plot points and character development (or regression) would turn into a full-blown chaos spiral 7 times out of 10 because of fan wars… silly me 😁

It’s good that both Chinese and Korean industries are starting to take legal action in more serious cases. I also agree fandom spaces can escalate quickly when boundaries aren’t respected. That said, not all criticism or strong opinions online fall into the same category as harassment, but when it does cross that line and affect real people, it definitely shouldn’t be ignored.
At an individual level, ignoring and blocking the more delusional takes is probably the most practical approach.
As a C-drama watcher without many people around me who are into it, MDL is a nice place for discussion, but honestly very few comment sections stay fully drama-free or non-toxic, which is frustrating af....

I agree with this. It’s honestly mind-boggling how much impact toxic fandom behaviour can have on actors’ real lives and careers — I didn’t realise it could go that far when I first started watching C-dramas. I don’t engage much in social media spaces, but even a quick glance at MDL shows how quickly things can turn into overreactions, especially when anyone dares to criticise a character. A lot of it feels unhealthy and pretty unhinged at times, with people completely blurring the line between actors and the roles they play. At the end of the day, if “fans” are creating stress or discomfort for the very people they claim to support, then it’s hard to call it support. Given how often this has already caused real consequences in the industry, it really should be taken more seriously by the regulatory authorities.
I'm watching on MGTV since its region locked for me (I'm in Europe) on WeTV /Tencent and IQIYI and Viki's schedule is behind, unfortunately the subs are not the best tho((
This review was so spot on, i just wanted to appreciate it for a moment 🙏Definitely felt like they skipped…
Thank you for reading! 💜🙏 Yes, this is the norm for mini dramas, they leave a lot to be interpreted at the viewer's discretion and the pacing is either on steroids or stuck in a loop 😁 still it has it's charm and definitely a distinct vibe with this one. I feel like this is the mandatory check-mark to be ticked for a historical drama - it all comes down to palace coups and intrigue lol, had to roll my eyes because it's a preset formula.... Yep, the visuals and acting of the leads worked really well, I still remember this drama even if it was months ago, (the majority of these are forgettable ) so thats definitely saying something.
I guess it's a good thing I'm working form home cause these last few eps are being replayed a LOT
