Debatable 😂 but I definitely get you! 🤩 He definitely has that “cold to the world, soft only for her”…
Hahaha omg YES, I remember that part! 😂 Honestly, I probably would have thought exactly what Tao thought too. Sir, you could have put the gift in the back seat, or simply said you went shopping and bought some things for yourself. 😭 And I KNOW I would also refuse to admit that I basically had to pre-buy half the store just to get that bag LMAOOO. 😂 He really backed himself into a corner there.
And about the proposal... 👀 I have a feeling he will propose after their separation, otherwise I genuinely don't see what the purpose of the breakup would be. 😂 They obviously have communication issues from hell, but breaking up after six years would need to lead somewhere meaningful, surely??
As for the dad, I was also curious about that! I watched their interactions and, yes, the father is clearly very strict, but they don't exactly seem to have a completely broken relationship. They still bicker and have that father-son dynamic, so now I'm wondering if there's more to the backstory than we've been shown so far. 👀 Maybe there's another piece of the puzzle we haven't gotten yet.
Anyway, I'm officially invested in our investigation now 😂🔎

👑🫶 Yesss, exactly! I think Tao has this feeling that she doesn't quite have the standing to openly say what she really thinks or feels, especially with the huge gap between them. I actually loved that she finally asked him why he was always so cutting with her and whether he was like that only with her—girl was fighting for her dignity 😂
As for him wanting to make the relationship public, I honestly don't think Luke fully understands the repercussions of doing that. 😂 We see so many little things he does for Tao, but she doesn't, so from her perspective she has very little evidence that he actually cares about her. And let's be honest, this man is NOT exactly generous with verbal reassurance. 😭
The passport thing is such a good example! It definitely suggests that he's already thinking of her as someone he wants in his future plans, but he never actually says that, never explains why he needs her passport, and just leaves her to figure it out herself 😂 So how is she supposed to know what he's thinking?
And I think that's also why she can't simply confess her feelings to him. In her mind, they agreed this was casual, so if she suddenly says she's fallen for him, I can totally see her imagining him laughing at her or telling her she's being delusional. 😭 Meanwhile, Luke is probably sitting there wondering why she isn't showing him more affection. SIR, YOU HAVE GIVEN THIS WOMAN ZERO EMOTIONAL INSTRUCTIONS. 😂
And then we get to episode 12 and he finally starts making it a little more obvious... 👀❤️ But honestly, poor Tao really has been operating with the assumption that this man doesn't even think she deserves flowers. 😭😂
Having opinion and negative comments about the drama is completely okay but degrading the viewers is straight…
I understand what you mean 😊 But if someone’s POV is being labelled “1-dimensional” because you consider it superficial, that is still a judgment about the person’s thought process, isn't it? 😂 Which is why I found it a little ironic in a comment about not degrading other viewers for their perspectives.

I agree with you that people can have very different interpretations and there’s really no need to degrade anyone for that. 😊 I was totally on board with your comment until the second half, though 😂 Saying that people who see things differently are “1D like them” is kind of doing the same thing you're saying others shouldn’t do. We can disagree with someone’s take without making it personal. 😅

Indeed, we’re all human after all 🥺 And I have to admit, the way he took care of her when she was sick and the way he showed his childhood friend that Flora is special to him did soften me toward him 😂❤️ He definitely has a much warmer side than he lets very few people see.
I actually find both Luke and Flora quite relatable, but I think I naturally tend to empathize with the FL a little more. Being a woman myself, it’s probably easier to recognize and feel protective of the dilemmas and insecurities young women can find themselves in, in these situations. 😭 Especially because we know this is a drama and these two are presumably heading toward a happy ending, whereas in real life... things don't always work out so neatly. 😂
And yes, the psycho ex was definitely unfortunate 💀 But I absolutely wouldn't count that as two-timing either. They dated, it didn't work out, and he had no way of knowing she was going to turn into a complete menace. LMAO. 😂
Just starting the drama, am at episode 2. I was wondering if I'm the only one who doesn't understand why Luke…
I think Flora stands out to Luke from the very beginning precisely because she’s so different from the women and people he’s used to being around. 😂 Tracy (the HR) even mentioned that her hiring process was somewhat of an experiment, since the existing staff had become quite out of touch with reality, so Flora being more down-to-earth and “ordinary” makes her interesting to him. At first I think he’s mockingly curious about her, but there’s definitely some attraction there from the start too 👀😂
As for her constantly ending up in dangerous situations… LMAO, that one is definitely the drama gods doing their job. 😂 It’s basically the plot device of “put FL in danger → handsome ML appears → romantic development happens.” I won't spoil whether it continues, but I’d say there’s more to their dynamic than just the rescue scenes, so I’d give it a few more episodes before deciding!
From A to Z I don’t find any fault of Luan Nian so far. 😆 we cannot find a guy like him even with torch or…
Debatable 😂 but I definitely get you! 🤩 He definitely has that “cold to the world, soft only for her” thing down to an art 😂 I do have a few reservations about him though, so I can't quite join the “Luan Nian is faultless” camp just yet 😭 But I'm loving watching his character unfold!
Same🥺 I think one releases in day and other in night so they give every morning just one!
Right now I'm not watching anything else, maybe because was overstimulated in July with all the releases, cause after that I had trouble committing. I tried watching Road to Splendor but it wasn't working for me. This one I've been waiting for a long time because I really like both leads, especially JBR, I think I'll fall in a slump once this ends....😢
