sadly, that's how cbiz works. his future resources will depend on the success of his 1st billing drama and all the benefits after its success will be given to the 1st billing lead. it's not like k-drama where both FL and ML are equal. That's why we have many controversies surrounding the billing issue and also why his company wanted the equal billing (both leads are 1st in billing) for him in SF4.

tbh a lot of his hit dramas, he was second billing (even HL and HS) so antis use it to mock him (that the drama's success doesn't count for him). so i hope he finally has a hit 1st billing drama to shut those people up :(

costume drama have diverse set characters too. There are also doctors, bad boys, martial artists, spies, slaves, nobles, royalty, fairies, doctors, merchants, generals, etc... too many to choose. But yes, as long as it has good script and investment, i'm fine with any.

I mean the costume dramas with fantasy or feudal China theme. He looks so great in those traditional clothes 😭. He already got a hit modern drama with HL and some others like Our Secrets or My Villain Boyfriend. He still has not have a hit costume drama (because he hasn't acted in a good script so far except winner is king). I also count DNAD and TWOT as modern and they will be air soon 😅 After that, it would be refreshing to see him in a costume drama with martial arts or a crown prince or something 😁

This is the first time I follow an actor and I've watched many c-dramas before. I first know him from HL but i didn't stan him then, because I know I just love the Duan Jiaxu character that he played who was so perfect.But a few weeks ago. i happened to watch TWOT finished video and i couldn't believe that was the guy who played Duan Jiaxu. So I got interested in him as an actor, started my research about him and be amazed at every role he has played, nothing is similar to each other. Then I read more of his interviews, learned about his attitude and sincerity for acting and fall more deeply in love with him. The rest is history...

i read a post on weibo which many fans agree too that some people might be afraid of Y's potential to blow up so they're doing everything they can to drag him down before it happens. There's not many actors in cbiz who could do well in many genre as him. He can do modern romance, costume, historical, BL, villain role, now police and soldier. And he's crazy versatile, hard working, good looking with a great voice and proportions. on top of that, He has one of a kind pair of eyes, so i get why people are afraid of him.

The crazy thing is that fandom actually is spreading around that he sucks at acting and that's the reason it underperformed. like be fcking fr. that's why i'm so frustrated.

for such a high budget project, people say it 'flopped'. But it wasn't because the show was bad but the 'drama' of the 2 leads. Now he is hated by the FL's fandom and they're trying to taint his image everywhere...

i'm trying it just feels so wrong to be mocked as if he's the worst actor ever when we all know he's the best actor on the show.

I'm so sad that people are starting to blame him for SF4's underperformance now that actress' other drama is doing well... I hope good things come soon for him because this is so frustrating...

The professor and the female lead. From the first chapter, they're already married (no love i think) and male lead is the professor. From the description, he has a past trauma, crazy in love with her, kinda obsessed . so it's interesting to see how CZY can act this.
