The role might suit him but i don't think he will accept youth dramas anymore. he said he will only play the roles that are suitable for his age. after HL, i think he's done with youth drama. And after Olive tree, his whole vibe changed so i think now he's just looking for more serious type of plot/role.

Today is Youku's conference and I have to say their costume dramas look so much more promising and appealing than those of iqiyi (both script and cinematograpahy aspects). Tencent is also always good with costume and has secured many big IPs. I hope if Zheyuan joins a costume drama, it will be on those 2 platforms instead of Iqiyi...Iqiyi have fallen off, they don't have good costume projects this year and next year too... I don't want another SF4 for Zheyuan...

she's not top class, but her acting is ok. but it's true movies are regarded more highly than dramas. i don't like yy as well but he is top traffic, so getting to act with him is guaranteed success and exposure so that's very good resources.

She did more movies than dramas, she got several hit movies already. But recently she got a new manager who used to handle ZLS's resources before so her drama resources are getting better. She's expected to play in Yang Yang's new project even. Her visual type is also what Chinese people like, innocent/natural looking.

It's not the novels, it's the manhwa that made those 2 novels popular. The art for TFF manhwa is very beautiful and better than HL because it came out after HL.

not exactly a villain, he just made wrong choice. i also wonder how he will play this character. according to chen zheyuan, this character is very tragic...

The HL novel was nothing special, the writing is amature and childish. Duan Jiaxu in the novel was even scold for being so oily. But the character design has depth and good development. czy took it to another level by erasing all the oily elements and focusing on important straits to make him more real, relatable and alive. I don't think other actor could play Duan Jiaxu the same way czy did. It's the actors and acting that saved this script. For TFF, if they stay close to the novel and not change anything, the plot will also be very typical sweet romance but without the big age gap. I still feel Duan Jiaxu > Sang Yan in character design. (TFF's female lead is more like Duan Jiaxu and SY is more SZ) so it will depend how the actors interpret their characters.

who knows. maybe they didn't give him good scripts so he didn't accept any... both HL and Wolf king were 2nd billing and the wolf one was a bad script even. HL wasn't high budget either, he made that role alive.
