Nah it was kind of annoying that she could only imagine a lesbian couple that is masc4femme and not anything that…
Yeah sorry i just have too much personal experience of being forced into masc4fem dynamics even tho I'm fem4fem so sometimes i see these stuff differently
the mom being like "i'll make a butchfemme couple out of you" was kind of funny, i have to give her that
Nah it was kind of annoying that she could only imagine a lesbian couple that is masc4femme and not anything that doesn't follow her idea of what a couple is supposed to be like
Yeah i suppose it is. And i don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as it's done by the couple and not someone else and it's not implying a forced heternormative dynamic
u know i just finished ep 2,that was so good, between queer couples some of them don't care to called what😂😂like…
Yeah I know some queer couples don't mind(I'm a lesbian too). And I found the show very entertaining too(I love GLs in general, usually they don't disappoint)
Yeah we've just started to get more GLs so naturally they have a long way to go. But I'm definitely more hopeful about GL when it comes to representation as compared to BL.
The criticism of not giving any representation to queerness outside the gender norms also applies to BL. It's been ages and no one even demands for feminine queer men, not even the queer fans. All BLs have to have two masc men one of whom is just a little fem to give "bottom vibes" (Cuz god forbid a masc person like anyone who's as masc as them). Atleast in GL, we're starting to ask for more rep for everyone, BL fans don't even dare to do that.
I'd argue against it actually. We all know that the GL fandom is dominated by sapphics so it's doesn't really make sense as to why they would cater to a male audience. I'd say it's more because of beauty standards and stigma around not conforming to the gender binary.
I'd say that the femxfem representation in most GLs don't make me feel particularly represented. They just have to make one more masculine. So in the end, they achieve nothing, not femxfem nor mascxfem
I mean you're right. As a fem4fem I actually appreciate the amount of rep we get but i really want others to get rep too.(and nothing wrong with idf being fem either)
I'm trying so hard to finish this series because it's a gl ...but falls in love with someone who looks like your…
Honestly this part is just a problematic Thai(?)belief. I have seen the same myth used in Until We Meet Again(BL) And apparently it is said that people who truly love each other/are soulmates will get born into each other's family. Now that I've said all of it, this trope is weird af
That being said if it makes you feel represented, I'm happy for you❤
