(Don't hate me but...) I haven't finished watching the second season but I really like Cang Xuan. His character seems to be most complex and tortured one despite the fact that he can have anything and everything except for what he truly wants.
Honestly, I don't get the hype about this drama. I felt the exact same way as you! I found the FL insufferable…
Irrelevant question Did you have a bad Breakup?
Also before the main couple started dating she already broke up with him
He was just being toxic at that point and honestly it fine to break up when no love exist also Ji ho was the turning point in her life she realized what she needed and it wasn't marrying a rich guy because everyone wants her to.
IT WAS DISAPPOINTING. I m a big fan of the director because of his previous work Something in rain and one spring night especially One spring night which I might have watched a million times on repeat but here it just fell short the ending was rushed, the chemistry left lot be desired and the storyline just bored me. I mean I hoped romance would be the primary thing but I just did not feel it as for actor I had hoped for somebody else not that the acting was lacking but it would have been more suitable to cast someone who had better chemistry with the actress.
** I might be a bit biased toward the actor because I have watched The Worst of Evil, Little women and Bad and Crazy
I really wanted Zang linghe character to be more like Xie ju'an his character in Kunning Palace and the early trailer promised as such give dark but romantic vibes but this turned into a blunder in last 10 to 12 episodes. I mean his character became too much like a puppy and I personally did not like it.
Still a good show but I would rate it between 7 and 7.5
Although the series was good but because I watched the youth of may a few days ago it was difficult for me to see them as siblings (Eun yoo and Eun Hyuk)
First of all I watched it for Zhang Linghe his cold and calculating character in The kunning Palace impressed me, here despite his acting capabilities I just could not complete it. The annoying second lead was all over the Place like every other scene had him also the love triangle for me was a turn off I mean I just could not decide if the princess actually loved him or Pei wenxuan was the second choice and no matter what I could not get myself to sympathize with the Sml.
I was lowkey hoping that Pei wenxuan rebels at some point and take the throne for himself I really would have love to watch that play out.
Honestly the plot was average I watched it for Jo Jung Suk. I wish he does more historical role, he was great in the role of king I just wished the script matched his acting
Tbh the male leead love for fl should be showned more,i felt rush with ep 6 kiss 🤣
You should see One spring night for reference The director isn't like other Korean director who try to use various tropes like childhood connection, overwhelming love/ jealousy or flashy gestures instead he likes to use subtle scenes to establish the plot with a strong bond b/w leads
